Alright, I was looking through some cards and I found "Nopenguin". While I was considering this card's effect, I became slightly confused by the timing that this card undergoes.
There is two questions that I will ask for this card. First, can this card's effect to summon itself be used during the Damage Step? (Such as when a FLIP "Penguin" effect occurs because it was attacked.)
Second, how does this card chain to summon itself? I can think of two ways but I am not sure:
- First would be chaining to the "Penguin" effect. Such as a player Flipping a "Penguin Soldier" face-up and then targeting cards, "Nopenguin" chains to that effect. During resolution, "Nopenguin" Special Summons itself and then the targets of "Penguin SOldier" are returned to the hand.
- Second idea would be "Penguin Soldier" targeting two monsters, any further chaining happens, resolution occurs, "Penguin Soldier" affected targets are returned to the hand. Then a new chain occurs with the revival effect of "Nopenguin".
The reason why I ask the second question is because of its Continuous Effect. If it is already on the field, it will banish the targets of "Penguin Soldier". I am wondering if that can happen during the Damage Step and if it can happen from the same effect that it Special Summoned itself off of. --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 06:55, October 23, 2014 (UTC)
