To help ease the transition, guest instructor [[Des]], who in fact works at this very shop, announces that she will be hosting an Exhibition Duel for the younger Duelists to show off the changes, and asks for any volunteers. Many among the crowd whisper hesitantly among themselves, as Des has a reputation for not holding back against anyone, even children. Even [[Jukyu Goriki]] says that he'd rather focus on reading through the changes first, while [[Tsukiko Kuroda]] admits that she forgot to bring a Deck with her today. However, Des receives a very eager volunteer in the form of [[Yami Kuroda]], who offers her a black rose and a place by his side as his "bride of darkness", to his sister Tsukiko's embarassment. Des, being nearly twice the teenager's age, is put off by the young boy's "advances", but seeing as how she doesn't have any other volunteers lined up...
