Eiyu is the father of Akiza.
Although Eiyu hasn't normally debuted until later on, it has been seen on the series mainly because of the terrible incident involving him and his daughter's psychic dueling powers.
As when Akiza was just 5 years old, not only did she dueled against him and won, but that duel was the one responsible for awakening those powers. After that event it is because of those same terrible powers, that he and his wife couldn't accept Akiza anymore and eventually ended up rejecting her.
It is known that only after Akiza's duel against the Dark Signer, Misty Lola from which she results to be left inconscious, Eiyu and her wife will be seen. As not only does he confesses of their disastrous relationship with his daughter to Yusei Fudo, but also request to him if he can save her.
