Ignoring the Summoning conditions

243 bytes removed, 5 years ago
The ruling of "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny" was deleted from the database.
Special Summoning by ignoring the Summoning conditions is not considered properly Special Summoning, so if an Extra Deck monster or a Nomi or Special Summon-only monster is Special Summoned this way, it cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished.
Even with an effect that ignores the Summoning conditions, Nomi and Special Summon-only monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished unless they have first been properly Special Summoned. The only exception is the "Legendary Knights" summoned from the GY by "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny"'s effect.
The phrase was coined by Kevin Tewart of Upper Deck Entertainmentfact to allow for flexibility when Summoning LV monsters with either "Level Up!" or "Level Modulation", although this term has been applied to many other groups of cards, such as monsters that cannot be Special Summoned and Special Summon Monsters.
