Rare cards are the next step up in rarity from [[Common]] cards and, generally, aren't worth much more. They're identified by silver name text and no holofoil. Most booster packs contain 1 rare card.
==Rare Card Misprints==
Many cards have been misprinted with incorrect lettering. Here are a few examples:
* A [[Gearfried the Iron Knight]] card with the silver lettering '[[Kuriboh]]'
* A [[The Forceful Sentry]] card with the silver lettering '[[Ryu Senshi]]'.
* A [[Trap Hole]] card with the silver lettering '[[Fusion Gate]]'
These cards, and others like them, are illegal for Tournament Play.
