The plane suffered engine difficulties while flying over a forest and crash landed on the edge of a river. Everyone on board survived and the pilot sent a distress signal. Joey was not keen on spending his free trip waiting for the rescue team, so he began to explore the area was joined by Yugi, Téa and Tristan. Téa expressed concern in wandering around a forest with potentially dangerous animals, but Joey said that the animals would be more afraid of them.<ref name="cm 1" />
Téa and hre friends happened upon [[Alex Brisbane]] lying unconscious. They learned that he was a colleague of Yugi's grandfather, [[Solomon Muto|Solomon]], and that Solomon had disappeared during their latest exhibition. Alex then led the group to where he last saw him.<ref name="cm 1" />
