  • Supposing that I use Phantom of Chaos effect to change it into an Union monster, and then I equip it to a monster that I can equip it. What happen at the end of the turn if the equipped monster is not removed from the field ?

Same question if Phantom of Chaos becomes Destiny Hero - Plasma and then I equip an opponent monster to it ; if Phantom of Chaos becomes Cyberdark Dragon, etc. Rayqui 11:41, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Technically this card says it works on effect monsters. Does that mean that orange color-coded cards that don't say "/effect" on it count? (i.e. Union, Spirit, Toon, etc.). I know that Tuner monsters don't necessarily count because I have seen a normal/tuner monster before, but do Tuner monsters that are color-coded orange count?--Dragonking 16:42, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I do not think a question would really be needed,i only seeing copying the name and ATK.It doesn't say it copies sub-type,neither does it say it copies the type.--Moneypony 06:00, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

It also copies the monsters effect, and because union monsters have their effects in the text you would be able to equip it at first, the question is what happens when the effect dissapears--12.160.185.126 17:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Regarding Yubel

If this card copys Yubel or Yubel - Terror Incarnate can it summon the next form? (Chiissu 06:11, 26 September 2008 (UTC))

No, Phantom of Chaos copied effect disappears as soon as it leaves the field. (Lyani 09:00, 26 September 2008 (UTC))

True, the effect disappears once it leaves the field, but unless the condition of the effect of the original monster says "when this card is (destroyed and) sent to the graveyard/removed from play/etc." Phantom of Chaos can still use its effect. The effect of Yubel and its counterpart that summons the next stage is technically active on the field only, so Phantom of Chaos can in fact, copy it.--Dragonking 23:38, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

If I remove from play Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 ,and I use this card to destroy a monster by battle ,can I summon the next form ?Phantom of Chaos get the effect until the end phase ,and Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 can be transform to next form at end phase ,which effect should undergo first ?-- 14:00 ,11 February 2009 (UTC)

In one of the rules in dueling, there is an stated as player's priority, so you can have the Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 be special summoned on the field during the end phase.

Yubel - Terror Incarnate

Yubel - Terror Incarnate: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with the effect of "Yubel". This card cannot be destroyed by battle. All Battle Damage you take from a battle involving this card becomes 0. If this face-up Attack Position card is attacked by your opponent's monster, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the attacking monster. During your End Phase, destroy all other monsters on the field. If this card is removed from the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard.

Phantom of Chaos: Any Battle Damage this monster inflicts to your opponent becomes 0. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Effect Monster in your Graveyard. Until the End Phase, this card's name is treated as that monster's name, and it gains that monster's effect(s) and ATK.

Since Yubel - Terror Incarnate's effect states that it activates "during" the end phase, Phantom of Chaos should not be able to copy this effect, because his effect is no longer applied "during" the end phase, since his effect states "until" the end phase. In fact there are three terms "Until" the end phase, "During" the end phase, and "After" the end phase. May I please get an official ruling to this inquiry?
