Template:Database link
Template documentation{{Database link}} is a template used to generate links to Konami's official card database.
Usage
This template requires at least the card's or set's database ID and the text to be shown in the generated link; the item's type and the language version to be linked to can also be specified. By default, the generated link wikk use link markup (e.g. [http://example.com Example]); a bare URL can instead be output if needed e.g. for use with reference templates. The types of information are documented first below, followed by how the information should be entered in the template.
- Information types
- The item type may be one of
card,set,faq/rulings, orquestion/answer, and defaults tocard. - The item ID can be found either by checking the URL of its database page for the
pid=,cid=, orfid=parameter, or it can be copied from the item's wiki page here. - The language should be specified using ISO 639-1 language codes; valid codes that the database recognizes are listed below. This defaults to
jafor FAQ/rulings and question/answer links, and otherwise defaults toen.en(English)ja(Japanese)fr(French)de(German)it(Italian)es(Spanish)
- The link text currently defaults to blank; if none is provided, the template will generate an auto-numbered link. If a bare URL is output, no link text is output and any text passed to the template is ignored.
- Parameters
- The first unnamed parameter should be the item type if it is not
card, and otherwise should be the item ID. - The second unnamed parameter should be the item ID if the item type is specified in the first parameter, and otherwise should be the link text.
- The third unnamed parameter should be the link text if the item type is specified in the first parameter, and otherwise should be omitted.
- The language should be specified using the
lang=parameter. - A bare URL can be output instead of a linked URL by using the
link=parameter, e.g.link=no.
