{{region}} is a template which returns the standardized full name for a given region of the card game. The input can be one of several variants of the abbreviation or full name; case is ignored. For instance, {{region|ae}}, {{region|AE}}, {{region|Asian-english}}, and {{region|asian English}} all give Asian-English.

In addition to the basic usage, six parameters are available to customize output for the English regions in particular: after, after2, short, short2, english, and oceanic. The following table shows each parameter's effect on each English region:
