Torrey, an Obelisk Blue student, first appeared during the 1st Season in [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 014 - A Spirit Summoned]]. He was a student in [[Lyman Banner]]'s Para-Dueling class, and after being told that duel spirits may 'come to life' under certain conditions, he and some friends tried to create those conditions and eventually successfully summoned the duel spirit [[Jinzo]].
