hi, I keep editing the "yazi evil of the yang zing" page, and you keep changing it back, for an incomprehensible reason!! i'm not talking abot about XYZ summoning, I am talkin about LINK summoning. yazi enables a 2 card combo tha could get a link 4 on board, yazi gets "mare mare" on board> mare mare summons 3 tokens by it's own effect> you get 2 link 2 monsters, or 1 link 3 , or even a link 4. and link 4 monsters not being usable in many decks is irrelevant to the validity of the combo....
I personally use this 1 card combo: summon Armageddon knight>use its effect to send destrudo to the GY> summon destrudo by its own effect> synchro summon yazi> destroy yazi by its own effect> summon mare mare by yazi's effect> summon 3 tokens by mare mare effect> summon links, and you have still a full hand left, and you don't have to only summon a link 4, there are many cool combos that can be done using mare mare and its tokens, combining synchro and link summoning.
Except how often are you going to be able to pull off that combo? The more cards a combo requres the less viable it is. Plus, using Destrudo's effect costs you half your LP. heavy cost indeed, but the most prominent current uses for destrudo are to summon black rose dragon and wipe the board(dark hole style), or ancient fairy dragon to search a field spell(half of LP for a terraforming?!!), in a spiral deck, LP doesn't matter, because with the spiral lock(tri-gate wizard + sleeper + resort), LP is irrelevant facing such oppressing field control, and this combo enables it, since anything but double helix can be done with generic monsters and even tokens.
and concerning destrodu(the enabler): it can be easily searched using dragon's ravine, which can bee easily searched using terraforming, metaverse, and set rotation, which make it as if you have virtually 13 copies of destrudo in your deck. it is not a hard combo to pull off, especially since destrudo's effect can be use from hand, not only GY.
back to half LP, in late game, that's not such a bad bargain, after all, that's why solemn judgment is banned, and it can always be used since you can always half the LP.
