Vol.3 or Volume 3 is a Japanese Core Booster Pack in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game. This booster pack introduced Effect Monsters into the game.
Like other cards printed early on in the game, the cards have no printed set numbers, and lack the distinctive Eye of Anubis Hologram in the lower right-hand corner of each card.
This set reprinted 5 cards ("Akihiron", "Ansatsu", "Giant Mech-Soldier", "Mabarrel", "Rogue Doll") from Booster 2, which was released two days earlier. Of the 50 cards in Vol.3, all but 9—7—"Akihiron", "Binding Chain", "Eldeen", "Ganigumo", "Giant Mech-Soldier", "Kamakiriman", "Mabarrel", "Rare Fish", and "The Wandering Doomed"—have since been printed in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. ==Features==* Includes cards used by Dark Yugi, Dinosaur Ryuzaki, Maximillion J. Pegasus and Player Killer of Darkness in the Yu-gi-oh manga. * Introduces the first Effect and Flip monsters to the OCG.
