'''World Duel CarnivalPreliminaries''' is the second arc of the ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL]]'' anime, encompassing the preliminary rounds of the [[World Duel Carnival]] tournament.

This arc only appears in the anime, but not in [[Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL (manga)|manga]]. It is a ''[[Duel Monsters]]'' tournament hosted by [[Mr. Heartland]] and made officiated created by [[Dr. Faker]] for purpose of gathering all [[Number Holders]] in one place, as they need all hundred "[[NumbersNumber]] " for their plans. In the same vein, [[Astral]] and the [[Vetrix Family]] also see the tournament as the perfect opportunity to gather more "Numbers".
