He Overlays his 2 monsters to Xyz Summon "[[Heroic Champion - Excalibur (D Team)|Heroic Champion - Excalibur]]" (2000/2000) in Attack Position, and activates its effect, [[detach]]ing its 2 Xyz Materials to double its [[ATK]] (2000 → 4000). Gauche attacks Yuma [[Direct attack|directly]] with "Excalibur", but Yuma activates his face-down "[[Damage Diet (D Team)|Damage Diet]]", halving the damage (Yuma 3800 → 1800).
