* In manga, this card's effect is "Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. This card becomes an Equip Card equipped to the attacking monster. Destroy that monster and inflict damage to that monster controller equal to the destroyed monster's ATK". Because that, Kaiba doesn't need [[Ring of Defense]].
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! R]], [[Keith Howard (manga)|Keith Howard]], during his Duel against [[Katsuya Jonouchi (manga)|Katsuya Jonouchi]], attempted to sneak this card from his wristband to cheat, but that set off the anti-cheat alarm on his [[KC mass production Disk|Black Disk]].

===Anime===
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 071|episode 71]], Kaiba uses this card during his Tag Duel with [[Yami Yugi]] against [[Lumis]] and [[Umbra]]. When "[[Shining Abyss (anime)|Shining Abyss]]" (whose ATK was 2600 due to "[[Mask of Brutality (anime)|Mask of Brutality]]") attacks "[[Vorse Raider (anime)|Vorse Raider]]", Kaiba activates this card to destroy "Shining Abyss", however Lumis activates "[[Curse Transfer]]" to switch the target of this card to "Vorse Raider", destroying it instead. Kaiba then activates "[[Ring of Defense (anime)|Ring of Defense]]" to protect himself from the damage inflicted by this card, but Umbra activates "[[Spell Transfer]]" to negate the effect of "Ring of Defense" and activate the effect of "Ring of Defense" as "Spell Transfer's" effect, allowing Umbra to protect himself from this card's effect.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 094|episode 94]], this card is shown in Kaiba's hand during his Duel against [[Ishizu Ishtar]].
** This card also appears in Ishizu's thoughts when she notes that once Kaiba attacks, the effect of "Blast Held by a Tribute" will destroy "Obelisk" and inflict its ATK as damage to Kaiba.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 108|episodes 108]] and [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 109|109]], this card appears in [[Leichter]]'s flashbacks to Seto Kaiba's childhood.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 115|episode 115]], Kaiba uses this card during his duel against [[Noah Kaiba]]. when "[[Last Tusk Mammoth (anime)|Last Tusk Mammoth]]" attacks "[[Different Dimension Dragon (anime)|Different Dimension Dragon]]" (Noah planned to use the effect of "Last Tusk Mammoth" to make Kaiba take the Battle Damage he would take), Kaiba activates this card to destroy "Last Tusk Mammoth" and inflict its ATK as damage to both players. Kaiba then activates "Ring of Defense" to protect himself from the damage inflicted by this card's effect.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 122|episode 122]], this card is shown in Kaiba's hand during the four way Duel between himself, Yami Yugi, [[Joey Wheeler]], and [[Yami Marik]]. [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 124|Two episodes later]], "[[Axe Raider (anime)|Axe Raider]]" attacks "[[Blade Knight (anime)|Blade Knight]]", but Kaiba activates this card to destroy "Axe Raider" and inflict its ATK as damage to both Kaiba and Joey. Kaiba then activates "Ring of Defense" to protect himself from the damage inflicted by this card. Joey then activates "[[Graverobber (anime)|Graverobber]]" to steal Yami Marik's "[[Spell of Pain (anime)|Spell of Pain]]" and activate the latter as his card, redirecting the damage he would have received from this card's effect to Yami Marik instead, causing Yami Marik to lose the duel.

* This card was used again in Kaiba and Yami Yugi's duel against [[Dartz]]. Kaiba used this card to destroy "[[Mirror Knight Calling]]" with both him and Dartz taking damage equal to "Mirror Knight Calling"'s ATK.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 200|episode 200]], this card appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he opens it up and takes his Duel Disk with him.

==Yu-Gi-Oh! GX==
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 001|episode 1]], [[Bastion Misawa]] uses this card during his entrance exam duel against one of the exam's proctors. He uses this card to destroy "Vorse Raider" and inflict its ATK as damage to both players, winning Bastion the Duel.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 012|episode 12]], [[Chazz Princeton]] threw cards that belonged to Bastion into the water. This card can be seen among the cards in the water.
** This card also appears in a flashback Jaden has when he tells Bastion he was strong enough to be in his own league back at the entrance exams.
** This card also appears in a flashback Alexis has when she tells Chazz that she saw him throw Bastion's cards into the water. This card is shown as one of the many cards that Alexis saw in the water.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 022|episode 22]], during Bastion's duel against [[Jaden Yuki]], Bastion sends this card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "[[Mathematician (anime)|Mathematician]]". This card is later shown as one of the ten cards piled on top of "[[Carboneddon (anime)|Carboneddon]]" in Bastion's Graveyard.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 024|episode 24]], Chazz uses this card during his duel against four North Academy students. He uses this card to destroy his own "[[Gyaku-Gire Panda (anime)|Gyaku-Gire Panda]]" (whose ATK was 4800 due to its own effect) and inflict damage to all players equal to the ATK of "Gyaku-Gire Panda". Chazz then activates "[[Ring of Defense (later anime)|Ring of Defense]]" to protect himself from this card's effect, so only the other students take the damage. The [[North Academy]] students' Life Points then dropped to 0, winning Chazz the Duel.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 047|episode 47]], Chazz uses this card during his Duel against [[Alexis Rhodes]]. When "[[Blade Skater (anime)|Blade Skater]]" attacks "[[Ojama Yellow (anime)|Ojama Yellow]]", Chazz activates this card to destroy "Blade Skater" and inflict its ATK as damage to both players.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 082|episode 82]], this card appears in a series of flashbacks Bastion has when he wonders why the [[Society of Light]] didn't challenge him despite him being a strong Duelist.

* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 112|episode 112]], this card appears in a series of flashbacks Chazz has when he declares that he won't lose to [[Adrian Gecko]] after he got left at the bottom ranks and worked very hard at getting back to the top.

* This card appears in the GX Japanese closing song, [[Borderline Battle]].

==[[Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light]]==
* This card was seen in Kaiba's hand during his Duel against [[Maximillion Pegasus]].

==Scripted Duels==
* In the non-canon duel [[North American WCQ 2013 Special: Kaiba vs. Pegasus]], Kaiba uses this card in his duel with Pegasus. After Pegasus activated "[[Dimensional Prison]]" to banish Kaiba's attacking "[[Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon]]", Kaiba threatened to destroy "Ultimate Dragon" with this card, but Pegasus chained "Book of Moon" to flip this card face-down instead, to which Kaiba responded with "[[De-Fusion]]". This card then resolved without effect since "Ultimate Dragon" left the field.
* In the non-canon duel [[World Championship 2016 Special: Yugi vs. Kaiba]], Kaiba uses this card in his duel with Yugi. After Kaiba failed to win the duel with "[[Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon]]", Kaiba activated this card to destroy "Neo Blue-Eyes" and deal damage to both players equal to its ATK, while also using "[[Ring of Defense]]" so only Yugi would take damage. After Yugi activated "[[Mystical Refpanel]]" to apply the effect of "Ring of Defense" to himself instead, Kaiba returned "Neo Blue-Eyes" to the Extra Deck with "[[De-Fusion]]", causing this card to resolve without effect.
