1) The effect of a monster that cannot be destroyed by battle is a Continuous Monster Effect. It doesn't activate, it is continuously applied. It cannot be negated by the effect of Herald of Perfection.--<span style="background-color:LightCyan; border:4px ridge blue; -moz-border-radius:1em;">&nbsp;<span style="color:black;">HHTurtle</span> Talk &nbsp;</span> 03:16, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

2) Yes, you can negate the effect of Reptilianne Naga that activates at the end of the Battle Phase or the effect that activates during the End Phase. Both are Trigger Monster Effects that do activate.--<span style="background-color:LightCyan; border:4px ridge blue; -moz-border-radius:1em;">&nbsp;<span style="color:black;">HHTurtle</span> Talk &nbsp;</span> 03:18, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your prompt assistance, although I do wish to have complete clarification on the first question. If say Spirit Reaper were face-down prior to the attack, would it still be treated as a Continuous Monster Effect and thus unchainable, or would it work similar to the activation of a Continuous Magic/Trap card. I'm assuming the former of course, but clarification is always preferred. If a face-down Spirit Reaper is attacked, it will be flipped face-up by battle and its "cannot be destroyed by battle" is immediately applied. It does not activate.--<span style="background-color:LightCyan; border:4px ridge blue; -moz-border-radius:1em;">&nbsp;<span style="color:black;">HHTurtle</span> Talk &nbsp;</span> 03:54, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
