::: He even thought that the attack increase by Injection Fairy Lily is permanent. I had to explain it to him 3 times. --BronzeJohnson (talk • contribs) 07:39, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

I came across some one who didn't know when to activate effects during the battle phase! He activated defense draw, which I negated, then he used Swift Scarecrow's effect. Defense Draw activates at the damage calculation which comes after attack declaration, therefor giving up the chance to activate his monster's effect, but he said since I negated his trap it was like it was never activated and could play any effect he wanted. Swift Scarecrow activates at attack declaration which he passed over to play defense draw... this is why I can't stand using Dueling Network.

Had a guy that seemed to think that Neo-Spacian Grand Mole's effect targeted simply because there was no other monster on the field other than the Machina Fortress I was attacking. --MasterMarik (talk • contribs) 01:56, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

There was this one player on DN I dueled who summoned "Elemental HERO Captain Gold", set a trap and ended his first turn, I tried to explain that without "Skyscraper" he destroys himself, he did absolutely nothing for a few minutes so I called a admin who told him to destroy gold, which did nothing, so he kicked him, hence why I quit DN...also cause I got called bad names by a few people. I was testing my new deck on DN, when a guy destroyed my Machina Gearframe. In my next turn, since I controlled another machine-type, I activated Iron Call to summon it from the graveyard. He then banished (without reason) the spell and says "This card", I responded "yes" and he called an admin. After some minutes, arrived the admin. the guy explained to him what happened, I remained silent. After that, the admin gave loss to ME! I stood there stunned for a few minutes. THAT's why I always play YGOPro. --XBrain130™「X頭脳130」  12:22, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

As far as we're sharing stories on how NOT to act in a duel, I certainly have my share to tell.

Now let's see, what happened to me?

Oh, I remember this one guy. I dislike the usage of the term "noob", but I can't think of another term for someone who misleads the rules and then says "you don't know to play". Those were his exact words. He was as literate in English as a Croatian politician (I'm a Croat, I know what I'm saying when I compare our politician's knowledge of English).

Now listen to what happened: I don't recall the details of the previous turns, but the fact remains I was winning. Not to mention I had trouble understanding what he said due to the above fact. At any rate, it was my turn, and before I did anything, he activated Call of the Haunted, to revive his Paladin of White Dragon. Have I mentioned he didn't summon it via Ritual summon previously? As the matter of fact, I don't believe he even had the corresponding Ritual Spell to begin with. I didn't even get to explain why THAT was wrong, and he has already sent it to the Graveyard to somehow drop a Blue-eyes White Dragon on me. On MY turn! Then he has the guts to call an admin, despite having broken the rules on at least 3 points already. When the admin failed to respond, he quit and pushed the A.S.S. button on me (those still existed back then). He even told me it was ME that didn't know how to play, using such English that would make 3 generations of Oxford dictionary authors roll over in their graves.

I was quite upset by what he did, so I tracked him down a bit to take a snapshot of him cheating. The next duel I found him, he has already swindled another amateur into thinking he was winning. And by winning, I mean cheating. Among the other things he did that I recall was this: the enemy finally managed to take the upper hand by summoning Judgment Dragon, then used its effect to nuke the field. Among the destroyed cards was a Giant Germ this guy had, and while he had the perfect opportunity to attack directly, this duke of dork Special summoned a 2nd Giant Germ. In Defense mode! The worst part is, this other guy didn't even know that was not allowed, as Giant Germ can only use its effect when destroyed by BATTLE, not card effect, and MUST be summoned in Attack position. The poor kid lost because of that misjudgment. I took my snapshot, but sadly the admin didn't verify is as viable evidence against him. I have no idea what happened to him afterwards.--Hawk00Refferencer (talk • contribs) 13:08, August 30, 2013 (UTC)
