As you know, there is an official website opened months ago belong to 4K Media Inc, features alot of information regarding episodes, characters and YGO cards. Some users start to edite this wikia depending on what they find in that website, especially on card image; as we have now alot of good definition card art (+1,886 pieces), but the problem is that we don't have any Image policy regarding this case, and until that problem solve we cannot replace anime image on cards main page with the official website images (-OW). I open this topic and hope to see a final decision. --Dlamash (talk • contribs) 18:04, December 28, 2013 (UTC)

:Personally, I prefer to see a decent-quality image of the full card than one of just the artwork. If the full card image is barely visible, I see the value in using the artwork image. Same with the Tag Force artwork images. I don't see why :File:ZushintheSleepingGiant-TF06-JP-VG.png <small>(19:16, October 20, 2011 UTC)</small> is a better choice than :File:ZushintheSleepingGiant-JP-Anime-5D.png <small>(13:14, August 4, 2010 UTC)</small>. It seems very inconsistent that we prioritise full card images for OCG/TCG cards, but artwork images for (video-game-and-)anime-only cards. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:38, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

::To be honest I prefer using artwork image on OCG/TCG pages also, if the card's info is showing on the page, then why we still using full card image!? At least we can do the same idea we are using on Ka monsters page; showing 2 images, 1 for the TCG/Anime/manga image, and 1 for Tag Force/official website artwork. --Dlamash (talk • contribs) 16:26, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

:::The main purpose behind this is to allow visitors to directly confirm that our information is correct. Changing a monster's Level to 999 is obvious vandalism, for instance, but changing its ATK from 1500 to 1550 is much more subtle (and don't get me started on how card effects can be changed). This is also what gives rise to our "most recent English/Japanese print" policy for OCG/TCG cards - because we provide the card image as a "sanity check" for the information we show, it makes sense to provide the most recent print, which will (or should, at least) feature the most current stats and card effect. It may be an idea to offer the card artwork alongside the full card image somehow, and that's probably been suggested somewhere, but I've never given the idea much thought myself.

:::As to the original topic, I agree with Delt: we prefer full-card images in all cases, and use artwork as an exception where the full image isn't available or is low-quality (where the threshold for "low-quality" lies, however, isn't set in stone and should be determined on a case-by-case basis). <span class="nowrap">「<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span><span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000</span> 22:19, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

I think people should be weary about basing some things off those bios on that site, because they seem dub based and not original (just to give an example Rua's not 100% lively in the original, yes lively but not all the time, and he's more mature etc than his dub counterpart. Their statement about Luna one of the strongest Signers was totaly wrong).
