Editing Forum:Rise of Spellcasters?

Okay, first off, as my favorite type of monster, I think I can say that they are severely underrated and cast aside. But as any good duelist will tell you, the right combination is lethal. That said, with the advent of the English release and it's main spellcaster "Arcanite Magician", spellcaster lovers will be sh!ting bricks when it's released. We already have Magical Exemplar, Tempest Magician, Frequency Magician, Toy Magician, Night's End Sorcerer, and Secret Village of the Spellcasters. Altogether, those six can add to a quick Syncro Summon, along with some massive direct damage. When Arcanite Magician is released, alongside its /Assault Mode counterpart, I think we will have the Spellcaster equivalent and antithesis to the DaD/Tele-Dad. With Arcanite able to destroy all cards on the field, and Arcanite/Assault able to the same on a higher level, you can effectively rid the field of cards, while Night's End will remove the Dark monsters from play, cutting off the fuel for Dark-Armed Dragon. I mean, sure It'll need support cards to prevent it's own monsters from being destroyed/removed, and an easy way to negate staples; but I think this will bring the spellcasters back from the discard pile.

Once [[Structure Deck 16: Lord of the Magicians]] is released, they will be amazing. [[Magical City Endymion]] is so good, and IMO it's actually a broken card. I'll have to be using [[Phoenix Wing Wind Blast]] or start using some sort of field card myself to get rid of it. [[Arcanite Magician]] is cool, but [[Arcanite Magician/Buster]] is on the level of [[Judgment Dragon]] and [[Dark Armed Dragon]] in terms of brokenness. The only thing holding it back is that you have to use a trap card to special summon it. One thing that I think some people forget is that [[Lightsworns]] can also use him effectively because they run a few spellcasters themselves. -Hopefully though, not too many people will run spellcasters. I don't want people running the same deck I engineered, with or without variation. If Lord of the Magicians gets an English release, it obviously won't have all the same cards as the Japanese release. It will get toned down, no doubt. But, it will still be awesome.
