You know, in the English dub, they edit the cards so on the card only appears its Level (for monster), its ATK and DEF (also for monster) and its Attribute. But how do they identify those cards, read their effect, etc.? Tell me what you guys think about that. -- J0V1 [[w:c:ycm:User:J0V1/Yu-Gi-Oh! ::: The inexplicable power to gain whatever abilities are needed to further the plot; in this case, reading cards that have nothing to read.  (The term was popularized in the Naruto fandom.) Danny Lilithborne 12:28, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

It would have made sense if they take the time to run through the cards and edit them such that they show the English text, like our real-life cards. But, I suppose that would be very time-consuming. --Gadjiltron 05:33, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

The characters probably make up the effects. The FCC is to blame for this confusion which makes the cards stupid looking Roge23 06:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Since the effect isn't printed on them, it would explain, Syrus and Chumley not knowing about "Patroid" and "Des Koala's" effects, the various times Yugi "cheats" and what they're learning at Duel Academy, that takes 3 years. Bearing in mind, you must already know how to play the game before you can enter Duel Academy and some player's have played since they were five and three years old. -- Deltaneos (talk) 10:40, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

*Suddenly, this makes a LOT more sense. --Gadjiltron 11:23, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
