"Return of the Hanoi", known as "Hanoi Returns" in the Japanese version, is the fifty-ninth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on July 11, 2018, and aired in Canada on December 1, 2019. This episode is a clip show.

Differences in adaptations[edit]
- In the original, Varis tells Faust not to target Yusaku and Theodore in the real world as he believes they should confine their battle to the net. In the dub, he instead claims that they can use them to lead the Knights of Hanoi to the rest of the Ignis.
- In the original, Specter wonders why his Ignis did not contact him; in the dub he makes no such wonder, given that as Dr. Genome pointed out in the original version, the Ignis obviously knew Specter was a Knight of Hanoi.
- In the dub, Specter seems fixated on the idea that venturing into the Restricted Area is suicide.
