- This card can be searched by "Gate Guardian of Thunder and Wind", "Three as One", "Triple Tactics Thrust", "Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be useful in Summoning "Gate Guardians Combined" easily if its requisite materials are not in the hand, field or GY.
- When it leaves the field, it can Summon "Gate Guardian of Thunder and Wind" to search another copy of this card.
- This card combos well with "Riryoku Guardian" for a potential OTK, since this card's LP cost makes it easier to fulfill that card's activation condition.
- "Foolish Burial", "Armageddon Knight" and "Dark Grepher" can send "Gate Guardian" or "Dark Guardian" to the GY to fulfill this card's activation condition. The latter can also Summon itself later from the GY with its own procedure.
- "Extra-Foolish Burial", "Dogmatika Punishment" and other cards that send cards from the Extra Deck to the GY can send "Gate Guardian" Extra Deck monsters to the GY so that this card can be activated.
- "Left Arm Offering" can banish copies of "Kazejin", "Sanga of the Thunder", and/or "Suijin" to search this card and Special Summon "Dark Guardian"; when the latter is sent to the GY, it can shuffle those monsters back into the Deck to Special Summon itself again.
