hmmm, so you're trying to make this all happen in one turn? I can understand you bringing out The Wicked Eraser with the Venus card in one turn. (Just pay 1000 life points to special summon 2 balls. It's all you need since you'll tribute Venus and 2 balls to special summon The Wicked Eraser, then destroy everything on the field with it.) Now I'm trying to see how you can bring out the Dark Ruler in the same turn. You used up a summon so you can't just activate ray of hope then summon another Venus. (Unless you use [[Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen]] right after.)--[[User:Xsamuraizx|Xsamuraizx]] 03:28, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Man, oh man. There are monsters in this game that are so impressive that, even if you don't see them used very often, you keep coming back to and thinking, "That would be freaking terrifying to play against." The Wicked Eraser and Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler are two such cards. Both have field clearing capabilities. Eraser gets stronger the more cards your opponent tries to play to stop it, and Dark Ruler can double attack. I'm sure many of us have contemplated making a deck based around one of these cards - well, how about around both of them? I hereby present to you: the Eraser-to-Dark-Ruler OTK!

I'm going to go right ahead and say it: screw modesty, this might be the most impressive OTK ever. It uses two level 10 monsters of polar attributes and types (LIGHT Fairy – DARK Fiend) and involves field clearing and a 4000 ATK double attacker. If that doesn't contain incredible amounts of win, I don't know what does.

This deck tries to roll very smoothly from a blitz with The Wicked Eraser to an OTK with Dark Ruler. Both need a tribute engine. That is provided in the form of Venus and the Shine Balls (sounds like a bad band name, doesn't it?) and Nimble Momonga. So, here's the basic idea.

Step 1: Bring out Eraser ASAP. Step 2: Destroy it to blitz the field. Step 3: Bring out The Dark Ruler in the same turn as the blitz, use Light Barrier to get the double attack effect, and go KAPOW! KAPOW! for game!

Now, here's the breakdown. There's three Erasers, Dark Rulers, Veni (plural of Venus - yes, it looks weird), Shine Balls, and Momongas. However, there's also three Diamond Dudes, and a Dasher. Those help with draw power, and Diamond Dude helps with deck thinning. It might seem weird, but there's no quick way outside of Gold Sarcophagus/Different Dimension Capsule to get Eraser and Dark Ruler. With one having ? ATK and DEF, and the other having 4000, I can't search them. Thus, I need Diamond Dude's deck thinning.

For spells, there's 2 Light Barriers and 3 Terraformings. There's more Terraformings because it can be activated by Diamond Dude. Magical Mallet, Card Destruction, Destiny Draw and Allure of Darkness all help me power through the deck. Monster Reincarnation can get vital combo pieces back to my hand. Finally, Pot of Avarice can get Shine Balls back into the deck. That's important, because they are the main source of tribute fodder.

Ray of Hope and Transmigration do the same thing as Pot of Avarice, but on a smaller scale. Ojama Trio ensures that Eraser will have 3000 ATK at least. Finally, Solemn Judgment comes in as negation.

Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 02:34, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

  • Big problem. If Eraser clears the field, you can't summon Arcana Force. Momonga's effect only activates if it is destroyed by battle. Eraser would clear the field and leave you vulnerable. Arcana Force requires you to send 3 monsters to the grave, and if Momonga's effect were able to activate, you are still one monster short. I like the idea, but maybe, Monster Reborn and Inferno Reckless Summon can help significantly with this problem. Messengerofthedark 03:08, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark
No-no-no-no-no. I'm not trying to use Momonga to summon Dark Ruler. That's what Venus and the Shine Balls are for. Momongas just help with Eraser and protecting me. Sorry about the confusion. Runer5h 19:08, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

EDIT: Added one Brain Control, and took out a Ray of Hope to compensate. Brain Control can be Diamond Duded, and gives me an extra tribute for Eraser. Runer5h 21:22, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I love it when people don't netdeck, why don't you bring this to a torney and show all those dad and lightsworn dudes whos boss? Ryanfireball 21:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! But I doubt it's ready to whopp @$$ just yet. I'm certainly hoping to bring out the power with some of my original decks in a tournament some day, but to do that I need some suggestions on how to make this better. Runer5h 23:20, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

*Clears throat* As I said, I need suggestions on how to make this better. Runer5h 20:44, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

OK: I replaced a Magical Mallet and Pot of Avarice with 2 Crystal Seers. That gives me a good opening move too. Runer5h 01:08, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
Maybe, but I'm unsure what I'd remove for it. Runer5h 20:54, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
  • If you want to get tribute fodder, please don't use the Venus + Shine Ball combo. Extremely risky and especially SLOW. Seriously. Off the top of my head, get Nimble Musasabi and Bubonic Vermin for fast-summoning. Heck, just find something else to get tribute fodder. (Btw, wow, you make lots of decks. 0_O) ::Chris427

Nimble Musasabi summons to my opponent's side of the field, not mine. That tripped me up too when I first saw its effect. Bubonic Vermin doesn't get me enough fodder to bring out Dark Ruler on the same turn as the blitz. And I can't use something like Scapegoat for Dark Ruler. Why? Well, it's because Dark Ruler needs monsters to be sent to the graveyard to summon it, and tokens can't exist outside the field. Besides, with Venus able to bring out 3 monsters at the cost of 1500 LP, it's a pretty good card - and it's not slow at all, because it's not a 'once per turn' effect. Runer5h 17:35, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Basically, Venus is the only one-card way to generate enough "tribute" material for Dark Ruler on my turn. Runer5h 17:52, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

ekstra tributes..!!!

If you want another way to get more tribute monsters out, how about this: Cloudian - turbulence + cloudian - smoke balls + Fog control. You summon 1 turbulence, it gets 1 counter due to it self, you use that counter to speciel summon 1 smoke ball, activates fog control, gives turbulence 3 new counters, and abra cadabra, you got 4 monsters for tributing.. =)

Or...

I could summon Venus, and just pay 1500 LP to summon 3 shine balls. Abracadabra, I have 4 monsters for tributing. Runer5h 20:48, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

But...

You can use fog control and turbulence multiple times, since it also includes the graveyard, that way you get around waiting for pot of averice to return the shine balls to the deck!!!

However...

I can use Ray of Hope and Transmigration to return them to the deck. Pot of Avarice isn't in this deck. Runer5h 20:56, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
