So I was reading the Iron Call and had come up with a question Concerning it negatation of effects. does this prevent the use of "Union" Since its an effect mostly relevent to effect of its types?

IE: Heavy Mech Support Platform special summons can it union with machines still or not? and why? since Union is and effect and a Type I dont quite Understand why it should. LeonMagnum (talkcontribs) 08:13, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

The type "Union monster" is just there for the support cards.
Equipping is an effect, it will be negated.

So its still a monster & a spell Equip card at the same time while its union'd? or do the effect of Unequiping itself come as the effect of it being the Equip spell card? does/would this start a chain? LeonMagnum (talkcontribs) 09:17, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

So then VWXYZ's Contact fusion can use the Union'd monsters for its material? And An Effect like effect Veiler would also be able to negate which part of the union monster even thou the card still calls itself both Spell and Monster? LeonMagnum (talkcontribs) 09:34, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Equipping is a monster ignition effect. Unequipping is a Spell ignition-like effect.
Ignition/Ignition-like effects both start a chain.
It is treated only as a Spell (not a monster) while it is in the Spell/Trap Zone.
VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon says "by removing from play the above cards you control", not "above monsters" so you can use them while they are Spells.

So Effect Veiler cant Target Union'd Monsters then? Or Only Effect Monsters such as Armory Arm? since its not a Union but an Effect monster? (sorry Im not trying to argue Im just looking for some Awnsers) LeonMagnum (talkcontribs) 09:47, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

After Carefully reading Heavy Mech support Platform & Armory arm theyve got similar Effects but Armory arm dosnt contain Union in its type or does it say to be treated as a spell card but does say Effect? so would Effect Veiler be able to target Armory Arm? LeonMagnum (talkcontribs) 09:55, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

When it is equipped, as I have said, it is not treated as a monster at all it is only a Spell card, so Effect Veiler cannot be used on them.
When it is a monster (not equipped), Effect Veiler can be used as they are effect monsters.
It's still no. The only difference is the Union support cards do not work on Armory Arm.
