- This card can be searched via "Witch of the Black Forest" and "Summoner Monk".
- When you Set "Slate Warrior" in face-down Defence postion on your side of the field, you can activate "Book of Taiyou" to flip Slate Warrior into face-up Attack position. Thus, he will gain his effect in the same turn.
- Alternatively, you can use "Dark-Piercing Light" to flip up all other face-down monsters as well.
- You can discard "Night Assailant" to add a "Slate Warrior" from your Graveyard to your hand.
