- First appearance: Yu-Gi-Oh! - Chapter 009 - The Cards with Teeth - Part 1
- This card is famous for the fact that only four of them were ever printed - three of which are in Seto Kaiba's deck. Yugi's grandfather, Solomon Mutou had the fourth, but Seto Kaiba challenged him to a duel and won. He stole his Blue-Eyes and ripped it up, because he didn't want anyone to use it against him (since a duelist can only have up to three copies of the same card in a deck, Seto Kaiba physically could not use the fourth). Since then, Blue-Eyes has been used in almost all of Seto Kaiba's duels, except during the Battle City Finals Four-Way Duel, which determined who faced who in the Battle City Finals. It is not known if more Blue-Eyes White Dragons were printed afterwards in the anime.
- In the final season of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, Blue-Eyes White Dragon is revealed to be the spirit of Kisara.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX this card is used by Kaibaman. It also has an real life brother known as White Night Dragon. It's real life counterpart is Dark instead of Light and unlike the Blue-Eyes White Dragon this one has an effect. The ice blue-eyes was only used once to date in the anime by Alexis Rhodes in her duel with Jaden Yuki while she was a Apostle of Light under Sartorius' control.
