Anime-only cards
As with every Tag Force game before and after it, anime-exclusive cards were released for Tag Force 2. The "Arcana Force" monsters were released in Light of Destruction, so only the ones not yet released are listed here; however, many of them were presented as anime-originals in Tag Force 2 since Light of Destrucion wasn't released at a time. Anime-original cards from Tag Force are present but not listed here.
Bolded cards have been printed in the OCG since this videogame was released.

==Story modeMode== * The player has to choose a character as their partner when beginning a new storyline.* Most opponents in Story Mode are found in pairs. The player can choose to duel one-on-one against the opponent they are talking to, to let their partner do the same, or to Tag Duel with their partner against both opponents.* To progress through a character's story, the player has to fill up their hearts, displayed on the top right corner of the screen. The hearts are filled up by dueling, with higher-levelled opponents filling the hearts more.* Players can also give fill up the hearts by playing the various minigames or giving Sandwiches to their partner by paying 500 DP. Note that giving the character a Sandwich they dislike, or not doing very well in the minigames, will empty one of the hearts slightly.* Fully filling up a Heart triggers a story event, with its location being pointed out by a yellow exclamation mark on the map. To carry it out, the player has to enter that area. Events consist of duels that must be won in order to continue the story.* Duelist 1 characters use the same first 4 story events, with their 4 remaining events all being unique to each character.* Duelist 2 and Duelist 3 characters all use the same story events from beginning to end.* The opponents faced in story events use specific Decks that are not used in the overworld.* The player can edit their partner's Deck the day after filling up 4 of their 8 hearts. Each character's Deck has cards set as favorites, which cannot be removed. Duelist 3 characters other than Mimicry have every single card in their Decks set as favorites.* Characters met in the overworld change from their first Deck to their second Deck after the player fills up 4 hearts and unlocks the ability to edit their partner's Deck.* If the player's Deck includes any Forbidden Card, the characters in the overworld will be using their third Deck. One copy of one Forbidden card can be included in the Deck after finishing 4 storylines.
* When you start a new Story Game, you choose one of the Page 1 characters as a Tag-Duel partner. Then you can watch him or her duel for you, duel alone in a classic one-on-one duel or duel in a tag duel.
* To progress further a character story, you need to fill your Tag Partner's hearts (they appear on the top right corner). Each time you battle (alone or in tag duel) his/her hearts will fill. You can also spend 500 DP to buy a sandwich at the Store. The Golden Egg Sandwich gives a full current heart to whoever you tag with. Check the Sandwich FAQ to know what kind of Sandwhich a character likes or dislike.
* Each time a Heart is completed, you need to exit the map and go on the yellow Exclamation Mark to duel and advance the story. Save before in case you have a bad deck, because if you lose the duel you lose unsaved data, and you cannot edit your deck(s) during the event duel. Although, if you lose the duel you can retry again as many times you want (losses will be added to you win/loss ratio though).
* The first four events are common to each character. Fifth to eigth are specifics for any of the Page 1 Characters. Any student/teacher chosen from the Second and Third Tiers as partner will lead you to completely different events.
* Characters you have to defeat during those Story Events use a different deck than the usual they use when you encounter them on the field otherwise. Also, characters use a powered up version of their deck once your complete your Partner's Fourth heart Story Event.

First Event: Hero VS Dark Magician Girl

This is the Dark Magician Girl, who will challenge you because you beat her at the school festival (in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force) and she wants a rematch.
