**[[Kite Tenjo]] uses "[[Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon]]", in addition to some minor Dragon monsters.
**Curiously enough, this tradition was inverted in the fifth series, and the protagonist [[Yuya Sakaki]], along with his [[Dimensional counterparts|counterparts]], use Dragons, primarily "[[Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon]]"; his main rival [[Declan Akaba]] uses no Dragons whatsoever.
**[[Roken Kogami|Varis]] /Varis primarily uses a "[[rokket]]" Deck, which includes other Dragon monsters, and all of his ace monsters are based on Dragons, though only one, "[[Borreload Dragon]]", is a Dragon.
**[[Roa Kassidy]] in ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS]]'' shakes up the tradition again; he uses Fiend monsters, while the primary Dragon Duelist is [[Lucidien Kallister|Lucidien "Luke" Kallister]].
**[[Zuwijo zir Velgear]] in ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!]]'' uses mainly Galaxy Monsters, but he uses his Dragon-like "[[Voidvelgr Requiem]]".
