While ZarcZ-ARC's initial personality is largely unknown, it is shown that parts of his personality are similar to those of his reincarnations. He has a passion for entertaining Duels similar to lot like [[Yuya Sakaki|Yuya]]'s love for , a benevolent and passionate [[Action DuelDueltainer]]swith a love for entertaining Duels who desired to make others smile, human and monster alike. However, albeit different in that the spectators' selfish constant demands for more brutal and exciting Duels pushed Z-ARC over the edge as he shows little tried to no care meet their expectations. In time, he became apathetic for his opponents' well-being, willing to physically ruthlessly injure them ruthlessly like a gladiator, rather than make an amicable connection to with both them and the audience. Like YuriHe showed extreme aggression and rage like [[Yuto]], he is shown a desire to be extremely ruthless and violent towards his opponentson top like [[Yugo]], sparing no one and shown taking pleasure in harming his opponents a sadistic streak like [[Yuri]]. Despite Z-ARC's madness and Dueling spectators in order to satisfy his hunger lust for power. Like Yutoviolence, he displays extreme aggression still demonstrates a twisted view of entertainment that [[Gong Strong]] and great anger. Like Yugo, he also desires [[Jack Atlas (ARC-V)|Jack Atlas]] are able to stand at the top of the Dueling worldstir within him.

ZarcZ-ARC's most defining trait following this transition is his lust for power, having been fueled by the crowd's desire for more brutal Duels in the ARC System. His intense desire to become stronger was so great, he had been driven to insanity, while also fueled by the anger of strongest which drove him insane alongside his four dragons' grudge against the humans. In his own twisted view, Zarc thinks that his rampage was his way of responding to Z-ARC sees people's expectations for him to keep winning as the overall motivation of absorbing his dragons, attempts to destroy everyone, and that his later revival was . In the result of peopledub, Z-ARC's desire for power is subtly altered to a desire for a challenging battle and to fight against strong opponents. When no-one answered Z-ARC's desires call for a challenge at the height of his fame, Z-ARC went mad and decided to "challenge the whole world" with his destructive power as the Supreme King. However, Yusho Sakaki still believed that Z-ARC desired power, as he only began to revive after the creation of [[Pendulum Summon]]ing. Ray also claimed that Pendulum Summoning wasn't just born from Z-ARC's malice and she declared that Yuya still existed within him. Z-ARC continued to deny their claims, until [[Zuzu Boyle|Zuzu]] called to him from within Riley. She urged Yuya to remember how he wanted make people around the entire worldsmile. Z-ARC denied those smiles, claiming that he wanted to spread fear, but Yuya managed to regain control of their body after remembering his mission to save Zuzu. Z-ARC began to fight Yuya absorbed Yuri and Summoned for control when he used "[[Astrograph Sorcerer Smile Universe (anime)|Astrograph SorcererSmile Universe]]" to revive "Z-ARC" and "Odd-Eyes", proclaiming Pendulum Monsters as immortals. Furious that his alter ego was getting in his way, Z-ARC ordered Yuya to stop, but he was finally defeated when they used "[[En Flowers]]" to fuse with destroy his dragons and inflict damage for each one.
