Originally a pro [[Duelist ]] with genuine good benevolent intentions, Zarc went insane due to Z-ARC was rendered psychotic because of the dragons' belligerence, the aggression pressure of his dragonsaudience's selfishness and greed for violent exciting duels, his obsession with becoming the strongest Duelist and the foreboding eventuality of being defeated, which in turn caused him led to his decision to destroy devastate the civilization of the [[Original Dimension]] and take on mutate into a dragon form spiteful draconic being known as [['''Supreme King Dragon Zarc (character)|Supreme King Dragon Zarc]]Z-ARC'''. During a confrontation with against [[Ray Akaba]], ZarcZ-ARC's soul was split into four and reincarnated into four different livespersons. In his own twisted view, Zarc thinks that his rampage was his way of responding to Z-ARC sees people's expectations for him to keep winning as the overall motivation of absorbing his dragons, attempts to destroy everyone, and that his later revival was . In the result of peopledub, Z-ARC's desire for power is subtly altered to a desire for a challenging battle and to fight against strong opponents. When no-one answered Z-ARC's desires call for a challenge at the height of his fame, Z-ARC went mad and decided to "challenge the whole world" with his destructive power as the Supreme King. The effect of "ZarcZ-ARC" also makes itself unable to be removed from the field, as long as there are [[FusionMonster|Fusion]], [[Synchro Monster|Synchro]] and [[Xyz Monsters Monster]]s in any [[Graveyard]] or [[Banish|banishedbanish]]ed.

Offensively, ZarcZ-ARC's main tactic is to Summon the "[[Supreme King Servant Dragon]]" versions of the [[Four Dimension Dimensional Dragons]], which possess effects that let them dominate the field when faced with opposing monsters of the same Extra Deck summoning Summoning method as them. Their effects let Zarc summon Z-ARC Summon them to the field on the opponent's [[turn ]] when he controls "ZarcZ-ARC" by [[Tribute|Tributing]] "Supreme King Servant Dragon" monsters he controls [[control]]s when his opponent [[Special Summon]]s a monster from the Extra Deck via the corresponding summoning Summoning method. A critical part of ZarcZ-ARC's strategy is keeping his two "[[Supreme King Servant Dragon Darkwurm (anime)|Supreme King Servant Dragon Darkwurm]]s" on the field at all times so he can use them as materials to summon Summon his other Extra Deck monsters "Supreme King Dragons" whenever needed.

All of this allows Zarc Z-ARC to counter shut down almost anything the opponent tries to use against him and maintain his dominance over the field through a variety of protective effects to that render himself and his monsters impervious to harm. As noted by [[Sylvio Sawatari|Sylvio]], this overly defensive strategy is a big contrast to Yuya's playstyle of taking risks bravely rather than playing it safe.
