Cosmic Synchro Monsters These are [[Card evolutions|upgraded]] forms of "[[Stardust Dragon (anime)|Stardust Dragon]]" and "[[Red Dragon Archfiend (anime)|Red Dragon Archfiend]]", characterised by a name centered around a space phenomena. They are not [[Synchro Summon]]ed in the usual method. "[[Shooting Star Dragon (anime)|Shooting Star Dragon]]", for example, is the [[Accel Synchro]] evolution of "Stardust Dragon", requiring 1 [[Tuner Synchro Monster]] and its base form. Although [[Jack Atlas|Jack]]'s new [[ace monster]] "[[Red Nova Dragon (anime)|Red Nova Dragon]]" ("Red Dragon Archfiend"'s evolution) is not an [[Accel Synchro Monster]], it uses a method called "[[Double Tuning]]" to achieve its evolution and is in the same power range as "Shooting Star". In the ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's]]'' anime, to Summon these [[Synchro Monster]]s, the user has to perform a specific ability: examples are [[Clear Mind]] for "Shooting Star" and "[[Blazing Soul]]" for "Red Nova". The [[ATK]] of "Shooting Star Dragon" and "Red Nova Dragon" are 500 points less than their base forms' "[[Majestic]]" versions, while their [[DEF]] is equivalent to their original form's ATK. "[[Shooting Quasar Dragon]]" is considered the ultimate peak of the Signer Dragons and all [[Synchro Monster]]s. For the sake of simplicity, "[[Stardust Warrior]]" is also listed here, as it is an Accel Synchro Monster and has a space-themed name. However, it is not a Cosmic Synchro Monster.

These monsters have 500 more [[ATK]] and [[DEF]], two more [[Level]]s and an upgraded effect of the original monsters. Both of these monsters were [[Special Summon]]ed with the effect of "[[Assault Mode Activate (anime)|Assault Mode Activate]]", and were used [[Yusei Fudo|Yusei]] and [[Jack Atlas|Jack]] in a [[Evolving Duel! Stardust VS Red Demons|special episode]].
