If a card is '''Illegal''', it means is it cannot ever be used in the tournament play or other official card game Duels.{{Citation needed}} Illegal cards may only be used in casual play at the agreement of allparticipants. In general, not official cards which are illegal can be distinguished by the presence of [[limitation text]] (most commonly "This card cannot be used in tournaments, not anywherea Duel. The only exception to this is friendly duels ") where both duelists agree on the illegal cards [[password]] would be normally placed, in question in terms of their effectsthe card's lower left-hand corner.
