(manga)|thumbYu-Gi-Oh!]] manga and leftanime, and 300pxYubel (while possessing Marcel Bonaparte) and Adrian Gecko in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime. This archetype consists of five monsters, each representing a body part of "Exodia the Forbidden One", which can grant the player an automatic victory conditionwhen gathered in the player's hand.
"Exodia the Forbidden One " is a series one of cards the first released in five Legend of Blue Eyes White DragonEffect Monster s ever to be released and were the first ever cards card to permit have an automatic win rather than to reduce your opponent's alternative Life Pointsvictory condition to 0. The main card, "Exodia the Forbidden One" (often referred to as Exodia's head) is also one of the first five Effect Monsters ever to be released. They cards are perhaps some of the most iconic cards of in the seriesfranchise, being well known for their Automatic Win effect automatic win condition and how, in the anime, Yugi was the 's usage of them during Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba's first person to ever summon Exodia (and Duel in the first episode). While many people simply refer to these cards as "Exodia" cards, only the head of Exodia actually contains the name, the other pieces are called "Forbidden One" in any card effect that refers to them manga and anime.
While The archetype received their first support in the original set form of Exodia was extremely hard to obtain (all five pieces were "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" as a Weekly Shōnen Jump promotional card)in lesser rarities, with a common practice 2007. While many people refer to only print the head of "Forbidden One" cards as "Exodia as an ultra rare and " cards, the remaining limbs as "Exodia" commonarchetypesis a separate but related archetype, making and the set much easier only "Forbidden One" card to obtain. While the be a part of it is "Exodia deck was perhaps one of the first decktypes, it still remains a popular one, being supported through several new cards (specifically, new draw engines and draw loops)Forbidden One".
Exodia is The "Forbidden One" cards were the only monster that wins monsters ever specifically mentioned in the duel automatically without having rulebooks (other than as an example), due to use a dangerous special effect like "Exodius Exodia the Ultimate Forbidden LordOne" being the only card with an alternative victory condition at the time. " or Exodia the Forbidden One"is no longer mentioned in the rulebook, as its Last Turncard text"suffices to clarify its effect.
NotablyOriginally, Exodia the complete "Forbidden One" set was the only monster ever specifically mentioned in the rulebooksextremely hard to obtain, even having the rule that should the with all five pieces be being Ultra Rare; they have since been reprinted in your hand at any time you win the duel. This was, howeverlesser rarities, prior making a complete set easy to other cards being released with effects that declared an automatic winobtain. Often "Exodia has since been removed from the rulebooks, Forbidden One" is printed as an Ultra Rare and the effects written on the head are sufficient enoughlimbs as Commons. prints all five pieces as Ultra Rares, but as a pre-constructed Deck its contents are fixed, meaning that any player that buys the product receives a full set.

This way, his power was prevented from ever being used again.
===Other cards===While ExodiaAs a result, in the Yu-Gi-Ohs primary purpose is to declare an automatic win through having all card game, there are five piecesdistinct "Forbidden One" cards, there have been other methods to using each one symbolizing a part of the complete "Exodia". The first of these was Exodia Necross, which had to be summoned via Contract with In order for "Exodia. It is considered " to be a zombie version of ExodiaSummoned, and possessing the near-invulnerability of player must gather all the five parts into their hand. This brings the anime version parts of Exodia (in the anime"Forbidden One" together, it is said that allowing "Exodia" to come forth, once summoned, is unstoppable) as long as the actual Exodia pieces remain in the Graveyard. It gains 500 ATK during each of his strength being so great that he guarantees the player's Standby Phases and cannot be destroyed in battle or by Spell and Trap effects. It is automatically destroyed if any an automatic win, regardless of the five Exodia pieces do not exist in the Graveyardsituation.
The next such incarnation was effect of "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden LordExodia", which provided an alternate method makes it one of winning with Exodia. Exodius can only be summoned by returning all the most unusual monsters in your Graveyard to your deck. When Exodius attacks, you are required to send a monster from either your hand or your deck to the Graveyard. Exodius gains 1000 ATK for each Normal Monster in your Graveyard. Should all five pieces of Exodia exist in player's Graveyard as a result of being sent there via Exodius's effect, the player automatically wins the duel. Since the limbs of Exodia are Normal Duel Monsters, being sent there via Exodius's '; its effect powers up Exodius, allowing you to maintain doesn't rely on ATK and DEF or even being on the field presence, while also contributing at all in order to the possibility of an automatic win. Since it's summoning condition puts monsters from the Graveyard back into your deckactivate, it allows the possibility of instead causing an automatic win to persist even if Exodia pieces immediate victory when all five cards are sent to assembled in the Graveyard, and in fact makes it beneficial to send them there againhand.
In additionthe Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime, there is "Exxod, Master of The GuardShimon used Exodia against Zorc Necrophades, against whom he was equal; however, " who greatly resembles Exodia though has no automatic win effect. In the same vein as Necross being the deceased version of Exodia" was defeated because he drew his power from Shimon, Exxod resembles a completed Exodia while still sealedsingle mortal man, whereas Zorc had his own power source.
In the legend, Osiris was the god Egyptians believed brought them civilization, such as the knowledge of architecture, farming, and establishing the line of pharaohs. However, Osiris was betrayed by his jealous brother Set fue capaz de reunir las cinco piezas durante su duelo contra el and was cut into several pieces, which were then scattered across Egypt. While the primary purpose of "Exodia" is to declare an automatic win through having all five "Forbidden One" monsters, there have been other methods to using those pieces. The first of these was "Exodia Necross", which must be summoned via the effect of "Archivo: ANIMEContract with Exodia", which possesses the near-invulnerability of the anime version of "Exodia-Cards" as long as the actual "Forbidden One" pieces remain in the Graveyard.jpg | thumb | left | 300px | It gains 500 ATK during each of the player's Gorgojo UnderwoodStandby Phase la celebración de todo 5 piezas de Exodia, como que le dio Yugi durante la s and cannot be destroyed by battle or by episodio 003Spelland Trap Cardeffects. If any of the five "Forbidden One" monsters are not in the Graveyard, it is automatically destroyed. Due to its near-invincibility and increasing strength, it serves as either a trump card that cannot be defeated, or as a backup plan if too many "Forbidden One" monsters end up in the Graveyard.
En la Batalla de arco de la ciudadThe next such incarnation was "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord", buscador del Cazadores Raros utiliza para derrotar a which provided an alternate victory condition with "Exodia Joey en un duelo". Shimon had sealed "Exodia" a long time ago away due to its godly strength, but released him to engage in battle with Inmortales EarthboundZorc Necrophades . Despite a strong effort, "Exodia" was defeated by Zorc, because "Exodia" drew his power from Shimon, while Zorc used the power of the darkness. Tal comparación no se hizo en el originalInitially, both of them seemed imperishable, but as "Exodia's" life force was drawn from Shimon, any damage caused to "Exodia" was also caused to Shimon himself, and Shimon, a sole mortal, wasn't able to stand up to the power of Zorc. This allowed the demon to easily cleave "Exodia" in half, killing Shimon in the process.
==Deck Types=Yu-Gi-Oh! GX===See also:During the third season of the Instant Win DeckYu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, "Exodia OTKSacred" was used by two separate Duelists.
The first was Marcel Bonaparte, who was possessed by the spirit of Yubel, which he used during his Duel against Adrian Gecko. Using the effect of "Mad Reloader", he drew the "Forbidden One" Normal Monsters. He intended to the effect of two "Break the Seal" to send them to the Graveyard and add "Exodia the Forbidden One" to his hand, but at that time, the Sacred Beasts awakened, forcing them to end the Duel. Later in the season, Adrian discovered the seal of "Exodia" in the third alternate dimension and realized that he must sacrifice the Duel Energy of someone close to him in order to free "Exodia". Adrian decided to sacrifice Echo, whom he loved, but was opposed by Aster Phoenix. The two Dueled and Aster was able to block Adrian from achieving the victory condition of "Exodia" using "Force of Four." Adrian, however, made a comeback using "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord". Echo willingly sacrificed herself to release "Exodia", and despite Aster coming close to victory, Adrian was able to Summon "Exodia" by using the victory condition of "Exodius". Adrian later used his Exodia Deck against Jesse Anderson (possessed by Yubel) in order to become the king of the third alternate dimension. Adrian was defeated when his opponent Summoned "Yubel", whose effect defeated him as she attacked "Torch Golem". Adrian would have won during his next turn, as he had four different "Forbidden One" monsters in his hand and was about to draw the fifth, which was placed on top of his Deck by using "A Feather of the Phoenix". In the anime, the effect of "Exodius" effect was marginally different. It needed be Summoned via "Ritual of the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" and was immune to card effects controlled by the player's opponent. Rather than gaining ATK for Normal Monsters in the Graveyard, it gained ATK only for "Forbidden One" monsters in the Graveyard, and it could only send "Forbidden One" monsters from the Deck or hand to the Graveyard when it attacked. ===Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's===In the English dubbed version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, Yusei Fudo compared the "Earthbound Immortals" to "Exodia", though he was likely using the size and similar body shapes of "Exodia" and "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" as his main comparison. ==Video games=====Yu-Gi-Oh!
