As a baby, Crowley was left in a basket in the woods. Despite there being wild animals present, he was protected by the spirit, Korozo, until he was found by a retired scholar, who assumed the role of a surrogate grandfather. Endymion sought advise on his magic from Crowley and dragged him to a large boulder that he proceeded to damage with his lightning-based "Thor Hammer" spell. Crowley was critical and explained that transpired eventually resulted elemental magic is about the right person being in the right place at the right time with the right climate and terrain. To illustrate, he pointed out that there was wind blowing in the forest and cast his wind-based "Cyclone" spell, which completely shattered the boulder. As Crowleyshared his lunch with Endymion and Rilliona, they were attacked by Lopo who was being controlled by evil magic from another world. Endymionmade use of what Crowley told him about effective use of elemental magic to burn away the evil magic, returning Ropo to normal. Crowley was impressed, but concerned about how the magic power had so easily leaked in from the other world. Rilliona, and Zoroa all becoming showed a Magistuscrystalline meteorite. Howevershe purchased Crowley, Endymion, Zoroa betrayed , and Spoon. Crowley spotted an image inside the othersstone, causing which Endymion magnified and projected. Crowley recognized the mountain in the image and Spoon was able to create a portal to take them all there. Crowley complained about the cold, but sensed a great magic power, which the group followed into a cavern, where they found Theurgy,<ref>{{chapter|Yu-Gi-Oh! This was to result in a flow of magic power into their world. Crowley, Rilliona and Endymion attempted to combine their powers to close Theurgy, but were confronted by Zoroa. Crowley and Endymion pointed out that the flow of magic power would result in many deaths and Crowley asked what happened to the Zoroa they once knew. He replied that the search for truth trumps all and that that he thought Crowley of all people would understand that. Unable to reason with him, they prepared to fight and Crowley was excited by the prospect of battling such a powerful spellcaster. Zoroa attacked the trio and they fought back by calling on their guardians deities to grant them power. Aiwass was called in the case of Crowley.
