'''Series 12''' is the collective name for the [[Core Booster]]s released from 2023 to 2026.  As it coincides with ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!]]'', which promotes ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel]]'', it does not introduce anime cards from a concurrent series into the ''[[OCG]]''/''[[TCG]]'', instead focusing on supporting existing themes from the first 6 [[Nihon Ad Systems|NAS]] anime series, from ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters]]'' to ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS]]''. Contrary to , although unlike Series 11 however, it does release the first few Series 12 core boosters did include cards from that were past anime series. Each set features a theme from a climactic Duel from the anime, with the [[cover card]] being based on a powerful monster used in those during it, as well as introducing a new [[series]] or [[archetype]] inspired by an old iconic card.  Series 12 also features several [[archetype]]s and cards that compose [[card storylines|storyline]]s centered around "[[Diabellstar the Dark Witch]]" and the "[[Sinful Spoils]]" theme, as well as continuing the "[[Visas Starfrost]]" storyline. Additionally, each set introduces a new [[series]] or [[archetype]] inspired by an old iconic card, which include a retrain or reimagination for that card.

"Cover era" refers to the origin of the set's main supported theme, which provides the [[cover card]]. "Legacy theme" refers to the new archetype/series inspired by old cards.
