"Dragunity" (ドラグニティ Doraguniti) is an archetype of WIND Dragon and Winged Beast monsters released in the Duel Terminal revolving around equipping Level 3 or lower Dragon Tuner monsters and Synchro Summoning powerful monsters.

Appearance
The Dragon "Dragunity" all have armor which either covers most of their body ("Dragunity Phalanx"), or have a piece of armor that resembles, and is named after, a weapon (i.e. "Dragunity Darkspear"), or wielding the weapons themselves (i.e. "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten").
Etymology
"Dragunity" is a portmanteau of "dragon" and "unity", referring to the underlying concept of uniting the humanoid warriors to the dragonic weapons to form powerful knights. The artworks of the "Dragunity Knight" monsters generally showcase a "Dragunity" Winged Beast monster riding a mature/transformed version of a Dragon Tuner monster, which is implied by their Levels, that are a sum of the Levels of the corresponding pair of "Dragunities".
Most of the Dragon Main Deck "Dragunity" Monsters are named after general types of pole weapons, except "Dragunity Arma Gram", or in case of "Dragunity Phalanx" a formation performed with spears. Whereas the Synchro Monsters except for "Dragunity Knight - Gormfaobhar" are named after specific spears in European and Indian mythology. By contrast, the Winged Beast "Dragunity" monsters are all named after military or diplomatic ranks/titles or general terms of administration all used by the roman empire. In consequence, monsters with higher Levels and stats have a corresponding higher rank or title in their names (eg. "Dragunity Primus Pilus" and "Dragunity Tribus").
The theme's first Link Monster, "Dragunity Knight - Romulus", is named after the founder and first king of Rome, whose twin brother inspired "Dragunity Remus".

Playing style
The main purpose of "Dragunity" Decks is to set up the Synchro Summons of their boss monsters, essentially 'Synchro Climbing' into them. "Dragunity Phalanx" and "Dragunity Couse" are key cards to enable this strategy, thanks to their inherent ability to Special Summon themselves from the Spell & Trap Zones after being equipped through the effect of a Winged Beast "Dragunity" monster. The most basic combo consists of equipping them to "Dragunity Dux" or "Dragunity Senatus" in order to rapidly climb to the high-level Synchro Monster. "Dragunity Knight - Barcha" is used the most, being able to equip as many "Dragunity" monsters from the Graveyard as possible to enable multiple Synchro Summons and even Link Summons with multiple copies of Phalanx or Couse. If going second, a player can use "Dragunity Whirlwind", instantly granting a Synchro Summon without having to use a normal summon for "Dux" or "Senatus", while also setting up the Graveyard for later interactions with the tuner summoned by "Whirlwind".
"Dragunity" (ドラグニティ- Doragunitï) is an archetype released in Contrary to their current state, the Duel Terminal. The term "Dragunity" is deck historically had a portmanteau lack of the words Dragon and Unity. Their effects mainly revolve around equipping any Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type monsters in your Graveyard to your Winged Beast-Type boss monsters in play (in the sense of the Dragon-Types transforming into weapons, or the Winged-Beast relying on generic options like "Dragunity" monsters "uniting" with their Stardust Dragon "steeds" as "Dragunity Knights"). Because of their heavy focus on sending monsters to the Spell & Trap Card Zones, the "DragunityRed Dragon Archfiend" archetype is often compared to the or "Crystal Beast" and "Cyberdark" archetypes. They also utilize powerful Dragon-Type Wing Synchro Monsters, although they require Dragon-Type Tuner monsters as well as Winged Beast-Type non-Tuners. All of the "Dragunity" monsters that have been released so far are WIND monsters, so "Flying Kamakiri 1" and "Gozen Match" can be useful along with some other WIND support cards; and because many of them are Winged Beast-Type monsters, the Deck can run "Icarus Attack". The Dragon-Type monsters in this archetype so far all have armor which either covers most of their body ("Dragunity Phalanx"), or they have a piece of armor that resembles, and is named after, a weapon (ito grant field presence.e. "Dragunity Darkspear"). By contrast, the Winged Beast-Type monsters seem A classic way to be named after historical warriors (Ex. - combine "Dragunity Legionnaire" is named after the common solider in the Roman army). Their archetype symbol is the green emerald for the Dragon-Type monsters, and for the Winged Beast-Type monsters is the green emerald surrounded by a gold outline of wings. As with the "Blackwing" archetype, there is a heavy distinction between the Tuner monsters and the non-Tuner monsters in terms of appearance. Similar to "Blackwings", the non-Tuner monsters are all humanoids in bird costumes while the Tuner monsters are all small armored dragons <!-- Note: this isn't Dragon-Type monsters since it's just saying that they are dragons -->(whereas the "Blackwing" Tuner monsters are all small birds). ==Playing style==The main purpose of "Dragunity" decks some generic options is to have versatile and easy Synchro Summons. "Dragunity PhalanxKnight - Gae Dearg" is the key card here - it's a level 2 Tuner monster that Special Summons when it is equipped , to a monster. Thanks use its effect to the effects of "Dragunity Dux" search and then discard "Dragunity LegionnaireMist Valley Baby Roc", you can easily which special summon Level 5 or 6 Synchro Monsters - howeveritself directly after being discarded, if you decide to enabling the Synchro Summon "Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana" with "Dux" and "Phalanx", you can use one of the deck's most powerful combos. "Vajrayana" is a Level 6 monster that can also equip a Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type "Dragunity" monster from the Graveyard. Because the "Once per turn" effect of "Phalanx" resets when it is sent to the Graveyard, if you equip "Phalanx" it can Special Summon itself again and you can Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster - effectively turning one card in your hand into a Level relatively generic level 8 monster from your Extra Deck (typically "Stardust Dragon"). You can also equip "Aklys" to "Vajrayana" so when you send "Aklys" to the Graveyard to double "Vajrayana" ATK you can destroy 1 card on like the fieldaforementioned ones. Another fast combo to Synchro Summon Level 8 Synchro Monsters is to use the Level 6 "Dragunity Arma Mystletainn". Its effect lets you Special Summon it by Tributing a Dragunity MonsterHowever, and then it equips a Dragon-Type "Dragunity" monster from the Graveyard. Equipping "Phalanx" and then Special Summoning will allow you to Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster.  This combo only requires "Dux" in your hand and "Phalanx" in your Graveyard, and it is incredibly simple to set up with the help release of "Dragon Ravine". With it, once per turn, you can discard a card to either add a "Dragunity" monster from your Deck to your hand or send any DragonKnight -Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard - essentially turning any card in your hand into either a Dragunity version of "Reinforcement of the Army" or "Foolish Burial", which makes combos easy. Another move is to play "Pilum", which Summons a "Dragunity" Winged Beast. By Summoning "Militum" with this effect, "Militum" can Summon back "PilumAscalon" and Synchro for "Trident" or another Level 7 Synchro Monster. However, the "DragunityKnight - Areadbhair" monsters have many alternate strategies. Even without Synchro Monsters, the archetype can hold its deck gained their own in battle: "Dragunity Legionnaire" takes out tough monsters boss cards with its effect - you can send an equipped Dragon-Type monster to the graveyard to destroy one of your opponentabilities that banish opponents's face-up monsters. This is especially useful with "Dragunity Aklys", as when it is equipped and sent to the Graveyard, one card on the field is destroyed. This effect is not applied when the equipped card is sent to graveyard while the monster this card was equipped is also sent to the graveyard, because in order to activate the effect of "Dragunity Aklys", this card has to be sent to the graveyard while the effective monster this card is equipped to is still on the field. One of the main "Dragunity" combos is to Normal Summon "Legionnaire", equip "Aklys"negation, and send it to the Graveyard to destroy one your opponent's Face-up monsters and another one of his/her cards, in a devastating one-two punch that costs you nothing. This also works with the second effect of "Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana", which can send a card equipped to itself to the Graveyard to double its own ATK until the end of the turn. If you equip and then send "Aklys" to the Graveyard, you will end up with a 3800 ATK monster that turn while destroying one of your opponentresidual effects when they's cards, allowing for big finishesre destroyed.
With the release of "Hieratic Dragon King of AtumDragunity Knight - Romulus" and "Dragunity Remus" in Galactic Overlord, this deckact as the searchers for the archetype's capable of alternate method of swarmingspell and traps, combined with most importantly "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonRavine" , the main consistency engine of the deck. Besides searching for reusing your resources, each one also has a second effect that provides ways for more Synchro Summons. The "Dragunity Arma Mystletainn" and Tuners also emphasize the use of "Cards of Consonance"Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana for Rank 6 Xyz Summonsas an essential part of the deck, or just reviving your fallen Dragons providing draw power while simultaneously setting up the Graveyard for another beating roundcombo plays. ThisLastly, "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms" is highly recommended to be teched into the deck to search a Dragon and dump a WIND monster, in turnpreferably one of the deck's combo tuners. With the plentiful search and draw engines, will give you stronger field presencethe "Dragunity" archetype has a very reliable and stable game plan.
RecentlyDue to the synergy with Dragon, Winged Beast, and WIND monsters in general, the Dragunity archetype has received yet more indirect support Deck can also be combined with splashable cards like "Blackwing - Zephyros the onset of Lord of Elite", "Garuda the Tachyon GalaxyWind Spirit", with "Tempest, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon Ruler of Storms", and "Windrose Hieratic Seal of the Elemental LordHeavenly Spheres". They are also one of the few archetypes that can benefit from "TempestWindwitch" adds more consistencysupport, as it can discard itself and a they are unaffected by the latter's WIND monster restriction. (All "Dragunity Phalanx" monsters are already WIND monsters). These series of cards are highly complementary to add the deck as “Windwitch - Ice Bell” acts as essentially a Dragon from the Deck one-card gateway to the hand, greatly benefiting builds that run "Hieratic Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon King of Atum", and can even utilize "Gold Sarcophagus" for a free WIND "Dragunity" Dragon-Type powerful monster. This, in turn, makes the "Dragunity" decks even more powerful since they don't have to rely on "Dragon Ravine" nearly as mucharchetype already utilizes.

Whenever it or "Light and Darkness Dragon" is destroyed, your field will be destroyed by the effect of "Light and Darkness Dragon". Then, use "Light and Darkness Dragon's" other effect to Special Summon the other "Leyvaten" from your Graveyard, re-equip "Light and Darkness Dragon" to it and repeat. The only weakness in this loop is cards that can remove the two monsters from play, or send them back to the hand or deck. Note: Due to the wording on "Light and Darkness Dragon"'s third effect, if a "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten" isn't in the graveyard when it goes, you can't Summon it back on the field because the field didn't get cleared before you picked the monster to Summon back. One way to counter this is to have a second Leyvaten in your Graveyard ready to take its place. {{Decklist|Recommended cards|color=|color2=|monsters =<!-- This is not an exact Decklist. ==Atum Dragunity==
This build utilize "Hieratic Dragon King of Atum" as additional method for swarming the Field, combined with "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" for reviving any of your Dragons you need. What makes this build different from its classic counterpart is the added ability for Rank 6 Xyz Summon, but still retaining the ability of Synchro Summoning Level 8 monsters.

Support Cards= Weaknesses === * "Malefic Stardust Dragon" : Another Level 8 monster for Synchro Summoning "Trident Dragion". It can also protect your "Dragon Ravine" from any destruction effects. * "Cards of Consonance": This card can be very good in a "Dragunity" deck. It's a 2 for that sets up your combos. However, Due to the strongest reliance on "DragunityDux" decks don't use a lot of targets for this card and aren't as likely to actually draw them as in Dragon Draw Exodia, so "Cards of ConsonanceSenatus" isn't as useful as it is in other decks. * "Icarus Attack": While potentially useful, "Icarus Attack" is usually less than effective since in most cases you will be Synchro Summoning, not destroying cards with "Legionnaire". * "Pot of Avarice": This deck sends and the Tuner monsters to be in the Graveyard very quickly thanks to its Synchro Summons, discards from "Cards of Consonance" and "Dragon Ravine", and plain destruction by battle. Afterwards, you can do the standard double Synchro Summon with "Dux" and "Vajrayana", and you will draw two cards. * "Photon Strike Bounzer: Due be effective ways to disrupt the frequent level 6 Synchro Summoning, Dragunity players can Xyz Summon this card by overlaying "Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana", "Dragunity Arma Mystletainn" or "Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg"strategy* "Blackwing - Zephyros The first weakness was addressed with the Eliterelease of ": Although it's not a Senatus"Dragunity" monster, it is useful for "Dragunity" because you can return a "Legionnaire" to your hand after using its effect and Special Summon "Zephyros" or return a "Dux" to your hand after Special Summoning "Phalanx" and still get to Synchro Summon "Vajrayana" since "Zephyros" is a Winged Beast-Type monster. * "Foolish Burial": Sending "ZephyrosDivine Lance", "Aklys", and "Phalanx" to your Graveyard to set up combos. * "Genex Ally Birdman": Help return a used up "Dragunity Legionnaire" or a "Dragunity Dux" that has its effect negated by can equip "Effect Veiler" also leads to level 7 synchros with "Dragunity Dux " and level 6 synchros with "Dragunity Legionnaire". * "Royal Decree": Protects Dragunity monsters Tuners directly from Traps.* "Garuda the Wind Spirit": With his ability to special summon itself by banishing one WIND attribute monster from the graveyard, garuda creates the potential of swarming the field with either having 2 level 8 synchro monsters and a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon on the field, or 1 level 8 synchro mosnter(often Stardust Dragon), one Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and one xyz mosnter(often Photon Strike Bounzer) eventually (in one turn), giving the players a huge field advantages in the first turn.   Garuda the Wind Spiritforms a great combo with Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms when Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Stormsis in the graveyard. By banishing Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms to special summon Garuda the Wind Spirit, Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms's removed-from-play effect thus activates, which not only allows you to add Dragunity Phalanx for Cards of Consonance to draw 2 cards, or Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode for Assault Teleport for extra drawing, but also, gives you the potential to add Dragunity Arma Mystletainn and thus allows us to have the atum combo(see atum dragunity) ready to perform, begins with the normal summon of Dragunity DuxDeck==Weaknesses
Dragunity decks are aggresive and consistentAlso, but they are also the archetype considered by many of having numerous weaknesses. One, is their signature Field Spell "Dragon Ravine", which is the core of most Dragunity decks. "Mystical Space Typhoon" can be chained to "Dragon Ravine's" effect, which means nullifying their main search power and gave themselves as with any Graveyard-1 advantage due to the cost already paid. Tworeliant Deck, is their reliance on Normal Summoning "Dragunity Dux" for starting the offensive stance, which makes "Effect Veiler", "Bottomless Trap Hole", "Torrential Tribute" and "Solemn Warning" troublesome for any Dragunity players. However, "Dragunity Arma Mystletainn" can still mitigate Effect Veiler's threat. Three, strategy is their reliance on the Graveyard for placing vulnerable to effects like that of "Dragunity PhalanxDimension Shifter" necessary for their combo, which means "D.D. Crow", "Crevice Into the Different DimensionGround" and "Chain Disappearance" can be reliable counters against Dragunity decks. Four, is their additional reliance on "Dragunity" card effects involving using other "Dragunities" as Equip Spells, made possible to be interdicted by cards such as "Dark Highlander", "Eternal Rest", "Really Eternal Rest", "Disarmament" and "Armor Break". "Dark Highlander" is in fact the perfect mis-match against "Dragunities" because it can both reprove Equip Spell use and veto Synchro Summoning, the two biggest strategies of most "Dragunity" Decks. Five is their WIND-Attribute, something that can be punishable via "Poisonous Winds" and or "Milus RadiantMacro Cosmos", the former all of which can be more potent than "Dark Highlander" because it can also cease easily paralyze the use of "Mystletainn" and "Aklys"Deck.
Despite the numerous disadvantages "Dragunity" users face, "Dragunity" Decks The sequence of Summons also have ways of dealing with these cards. "Debunk" (which is even a good Main Deck card in this current format due makes them vulnerable to the common use of "Maxx "C"Nibiru, "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness", and "Effect VeilerPrimal Being". However, especially since if the resurgence goal of Wind-Up decks) stops the aforementioned cards, while turn is to Summon "Areadbhair" starting with "Imperial Iron WallVajrayana/Barcha" completely annihilate any and all banishing attempts. , or "Malefic Stardust Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" (or even with the "Card GuardWindwitch") becomes more important in this Deckengine, due to its easy-to-Synchro Summon will be the fifth Summon nature, also adding a layer of defense on your "Dragon Ravine"the turn, which is makes it a good thing for your future plays. "The End of Anubis" and "Necrovalley" prevent any "Dragunity" from equipping themselves with way to protect the other "Dragunity" monsters in the GraveyardDeck against this specific threat.
== Trivia ==* Their archetype symbol is the green emerald for the Dragon monsters, and for the Winged Beast monsters is the green emerald surrounded by a gold outline of wings.* As with the "Blackwing" archetype, there is a heavy distinction between the Tuner monsters and the non-Tuner monsters in terms of appearance. Similar to "Blackwings", the non-Tuner monsters are all humanoids in bird outfits with mechanical-like wings, while the Tuner monsters are composed of small, armored dragons (whereas the "Blackwing" Tuner monsters are all small birds).* Their "rider and mount" style, as depicted in their "Dragunity Knight" forms, are also adopted by later archetypes, such as "Gusto" and "Ritual Beast" (albeit with different types and mechanics).Archetype Archseries navboxDuel Terminal
