As Yuhi finished breakfast one Sunday he accidentally knocked Valvelgear off a table and broke off one of its gravity control units. Fearing he'd killed all 8.88 million Velgearians, Yuhi ran off without Yuamu and Yudias to a craft store, first trying to tape the unit back onto the ship and then crafting a decoy from paper to buy him time to make proper repairs. He eventually discovered Valvelgear and the Velgearians were still alive, but their panicked reaction caused them to land in a garbage truck, which Yuhi tracked to Mutsuba Heavy Machinery Garbage Collection Site #8. As he spotted Valvelgear landing in a conveyor belt, he saw the alien who had stolen the Earthdamar bathing in the river outside the Garbage Collection Site, and Yuhi was torn between saving Valvelgear and pursuing the alien, but eventually rescued Valvelgear. To his surprise he found Chupataro had imprisoned Yudias in a mechanical clamp, and Chupataro stole Valvelgear from Yuhi, but accidentally took the paper model instead and threatened Yudias' countrymen. Knowing he had the real ship, Yuhi goaded Chupataro into dropping the model and revealed his deception. Chupataro tried to attack Yuhi, but was captured by MIK agents called by Yuamu after she noticed Yudias had gone missing; Manabu and Nyandestar allowed Yuhi and Yudias to leave without charge for their help. Afterwards Yudias repaired Valvelgear and confirmed the other Velgearians had accepted Yuhi as one of them, and Yuhi looked at the spot where the other alien had been bathing.
Yudias accidentally destroyed UTS' washing machine, so Yuhi took their laundry to Kappa Heavenly Cleaning, only to find it drenched when it was returned, including his Duel Disk. Yuhi went to the owner, Tell Kawai, to complain, but found to his shock Tell Kawai was the alien who had stolen his Earthdamar. Tell Kawai dropped Yuhi into his lab and admitted he'd hoped to meet him again, accepting Yuhi's challenge to Rush Duel and return the Earthdamar on the condition Yuhi became his test subject if he lost. Yuhi agreed, but found his Duel Disk didn't work due the water damage, though fortunately Valvelgear had followed him to TellKawai's store and transformed itself into a Duel Disk for him. To his terror, Yuamu and Yudias arrived; Yuhi worried Yuamu would hold him responsible for her best dress being drenched by TellKawai. Yuhi's different Deck surprised TellKawai, who Yuhi noted used the same strategies as their last Rush Duel, though Tell Kawai hadn't been drenched in water then. Tell Kawai explained the secretion had begun after he took Yuhi's Earthdamar due to his inability to solve its mysteries and almost defeated Yuhi, but Yuhi activated his "Jointech Bumper" to destroy TellKawai's monsters. Valvelgear had trouble replicating the activation function, though Yuhi's belief in the 8.88 million Velgearians encouraged them to successfully activate the Trap. On his next turn Yuhi Summoned "Jointech Rex" and destroyed TellKawai's Trap to prevent a counterattack, defeating him in a One Turn Kill. Tell Kawai revealed the Earthdamar after the Duel, a nauseating figure of miasma he encouraged Yuhi to ingest, but before Yuhi could it was stolen by Zuwijo zir Velgear. Manabu and Nyandestar then arrived and revealed a Velgearian was behind Chupataro's actions.
Yudias explained Zuwijo was his former commanding officer, who he had thought dead. Yuhi and Yuamu offered to help Yudias search for Zuwijo, but their search turned up nothing after a week, forcing them to return to work. Mr. Omaeno recommended three urban myths for them to investigate; Yuhi investigated a legend about three warping granny sisters, but these turned out to simply be deliverywomen for Ramen Hut, and he and Yuamu met up with Yudias at the warehouse he was investigating. To Yuhi's shock, the chair Yudias was sitting in was an alien, Mitsuko Hiramori, who challenged Yudias to a Rush Duel, and Yuhi encouraged Yudias to show the efforts of his training. Despite suffering difficulty from Mitsuko's urban legend-themed cards and his own misplay, Yudias defeated her and noted Mitsuko had been using the urban legends to keep people away from the warehouse. Yudias revealed Zuwijo had been watching them the entire time, and Zuwijo asked Yudias to come with him and use Rush Dueling to destroy their enemy, though Yudias refused and Zuwjo denounced him. MIK then arrived, arresting Mitsuko and failing to capture Zuwijo; Mitsuko telling Yudias he would meet Zuwijo again as she was taken away, prompting Yuhi to wonder why she was acting so high and mighty. Once they were aboard the train, Yuhi and Yudias wanted to eat lunch immediately, but Yuamu reigned them in and showed them the info London had provided on their quarry, Yuna Goha. They also found three Rush Battlers before arriving at the Alien Residential Area, where they were accosted by the Jersey Devil brothers. Though Yudias' knowledge of their homeworld earned the group some camaraderie with the brothers, George Jersey still challenged him to a Rush Duel, jealous of them sharing screentime with Manya. Before the Duel, the brothers explained the Rush Battlers held Duel Power to represent the strength of a Duelist. Throughout the Duel, George impressed the notion of costs on Yudias, though Yuhi was left confused by George's terminology during the Duel. After Yudias defeated George they shared their lunch with the Jersey Devils and asked if they'd seen Yuna Goha. Though the brothers hadn't, they suggested the kids and Yudias find The Informant, as Yuna was likely on the dark side of the town. Unable to find the Informant, Yuhi, Yuamu and Yudias returned home that evening, but when Yuhi was bathing he was scared by a ghost warning him not to go underground. That night the ghost returned, warning Yuhi bad things would happen if reflections remained, so Yuhi threw the building's mirrors outside and began covering anything reflective with newspaper the following day. Yuamu suggested they return underground to search for the Informant, prompting the building to shake and Yuhi to cower in terror, so Yuamu had Yudias bundle Yuhi up in a futon so they could leave with him. Eventually the voice began speaking to Yuhi again after they went to a room of mirrors, Yuhi emerging from the futon and yelping that it was the Duel Ghost, but the "ghost" revealed themselves to be a skyfish swarm, Fisher Sukai, the Informant. Yuamu offered new information to Sukai for information on Yuna, but Sukai revealed several secrets, including a surprise birthday the adults had been planning, Yuhi's recent low grades, and Valvelgear leaking oil on the sheets. Despite this Yuamu still believed she had info for Sukai and challenged them to a Rush Duel, Yuhi having Valvelgear light the roof after they adjourned there. To Yuhi's shock, Sukai's info included Yuamu's Deck, countering her High Tech Dragons with anti-LIGHT tactics to avoid the effect of "Blue Tooth Burst Dragon". However Yuamu began discarding cards that didn't fit her Deck, revealing she snuck a booster pack into her Deck before Yuhi lit the arena, and she summoned "Red Boot Boost Dragon", whose DARK Attribute and effect to return her monsters to her Deck countered Sukai's "Golondrinas Jail", allowing her to defeat them. After the Duel, Sukai admitted they didn't know where Yuna was, which suggested she was likely at the Rovian Bandits' Badloon Castle that could only be entered with the Macho Rank of Duel Power. Sukai took Yuhi, Yudias and Yuamu to the Coruffium, where they explained Duel Power could be rapidly earned by defeating strong Duelists. Yuhi, Yudias and Yuamu soon learned firsthand the caliber of Duelists they would fight, as they found that George Jersey had been Dueling in the Coruffium and had been badly injured doing so, with Jouge and Ofuruno rushing him to hospital. George directed them to the reception and restrooms before passing out, and despite not being aliens, Yuhi and Yuamu registered with Venus Ganiko to Duel in the Coruffium. Yuhi decided to Duel first, facing Nomurandamas, an "alien prophet" who Yuhi realized to be a human, Nomura, partnered with Damas, a Chapeauian alien. Nomurandamas' prophecies quickly flustered Yuhi, and after he destroyed all of Yuhi's cards and wiped out most of his LP with "Doomsayer Samurai Nosferadeimos", Yuhi was reduced to deciding his moves with coin tosses. To his surprise, his luck led him to Summon "Corktrooper" and damage Nomurandamas. His confidence restored by his luck seemingly bypassing the prophecies, Yuhi continued to use coin tosses to decide his moves, combining the effects of "Screw Armadillo" and "Forkhawk" to flip "Nosferadeimos" face-down and then face-up, resetting its ATK, before Summoning "Jointech Tossceratops" and using its coin toss effect. Despite seemingly calling it wrong, it still gained ATK, as Yuhi had mistaken the heads and tails sides of his coin, and Yuhi claimed his lucky moves had all been calculated before defeating Nomurandamas. After the Duel, Yuhi learned that Nomurandamas' prophecies had merely been Damas reciting passages of the Mr. Universe manga and was presented with a prize written by the manga's author. Yuhi, Yudias and Yuamu continued winning Duels at the Coruffium, though Yuhi had mixed feelings of their progress seeming measured more by the manga prizes they obtained compared to Duel Power. Upon his suggestion to leave for food, Manabu arrived with Nyandestar, agreeing the three of them should leave and not return, butting heads with Yuhi over the matter. The conundrum was further stoked by Manabu's superior and Nyandestar's former partner Ranran Nanahoshi, who intended to close the Coruffium and imprison the residents, and though some quick thinking from Yuamu allowed the twins and Yudias to escape, they were cornered in the Coruffium arena. At Ganiko's suggestion, Manabu, who had spoken in defense of the alien residents, Rush Dueled Ranran over their fate, but Ranran proved an easy opponent despite boasting to have never lost a Rush Duel. To Yuhi's confusion, Nyandestar admitted Ranran had no real strategy, Yuamu deducing her subordinates likely let her win their Rush Duels and Yuhi empathizing with Ranran given his own attitude to building his former High Tech Dragon Deck. Though Ranran made a comeback, Manabu still defeated her, ensuring the Coruffium would remain open. Yuhi continued arguing with Manabu as they left the Coruffium that evening, only for them to be accosted by a cloaked girl asking what their business was with her master Rovian. The girl, who had captured Fisher Sukai's skyfish, refused to cooperate with them until she saw Yudias' Duel Disk when he challenged her to a Rush Duel, agreeing to Duel in exchange for the Duel Disk and all their Duel Power. Yuhi and Yudias were unwilling to agree until Yuamu pointed out they were near the truth of the case and needed to gamble. During the Duel, Yuhi was surprised by the girl's use of "Sevens Road Magician", a monster he'd never seen before, and learned that Yudias had acquired his Duel Disk and cards from an armored stranger when he first came to Earth. Yuamu and Yudias suggested the stranger had been Yuna, but to Yuhi's shock, Yudias' opponent revealed she was Yuna Goha, and she defeated Yudias with an Equip Spell Card, a type of Spell Yuhi had never seen before. As promised, Yuna claimed Yuhi, Yuamu and Yudias' Duel Power, resulting in them being pinned to the ground; Ranran explained this was due to the high gravity of the Alien Residential Area affecting them now that they had no Duel Power. Ganiko threw Yuhi, Yuamu, and Yudias out of the Coruffium due to their lack of Duel Power, and Ranran explained the Rush Battlers had been made by Rovian after she stole MIK technology. Manabu and Nyandestar took Yuhi, Yuamu, and Yudias back to the surface, and once they returned home Mr. Tazaki admonished them, stating this was why they had insisted the twins not go underground. Yuamu called Manya to ask Kirishima about Yuna, but learned Kirishima had disappeared as well, and to Yuhi's confusion, tried asking Sukai if they knew anything about the Equip Spell, but Sukai didn't answer, confirming they were still held captive by Yuna. Yuhi also tried to cheer Yudias up after his loss, agreeing with Yuamu's intent on continuing their assignment the following day. However, Yudias disappeared the following morning, and the twins put their search on hold to search Mutsuba Town, but didn't find Yudias, who Yuamu noted had likely gone underground to look for his Duel Disk. After a fruitless visit to the Goha Company Main Office, one of Sukai's skyfish, Navel Number 81 arrived, having escaped from Badloon Castle, and informed them they had seen Yudias crawling towards Badloon Castle. The twins promptly returned to the underground, Yuhi using his Hoverboard to move around, and sought out the Jersey Devil Brothers, asking for Duel Power to move again. George agreed to assist them in rescuing Yudias and the skyfish as repayment for them sharing their lunch, and gave them some of his Duel Power. The Jersey Devil Brothers took Yuhi and Yuamu to Badloon Castle and demonstrated the properties of the Total Muscle Gate; the group instead snuck in the way Navel Number 81 had, but were discovered by Hachiro Mino. Yuhi, Yuamu and Navel Number 81 escaped to the roof of the Castle while the Jersey Devil Brothers distracted Hachiro, where they found what appeared to be Yudias transformed into a shirt. Yuna and the Rovian Bandits then arrived, though Yuna was confused by the accusations of flattening Yudias, and the Bandit's leader Rovian, challenged the twins to a 2 vs. 1 Tag Duel, introducing herself as Rovian Kirishima. Yuhi was surprised to learn Rovian shared London's surname, but agreed to the 2 on 1 Rush Duel, believing it gave them an advantage, though Rovian took advantage of the format to significantly damage the twins' shared LP with "Prophecy Phrase of the Colors of the Wind". Rovian's poetry and Yuna's fawning over Rovian quickly got on Yuhi's nerves and he and Yuna soon started bickering before Yuamu got him on track. Although Yuhi destroyed one of Rovian's Trap Cards with "Jointech Rex", Rovian retrieved it with her other Trap and prevented Yuhi from destroying "Prophecy Phrase". Yuhi supported Yuna on her turn by reducing the ATK of "Prophecy Phrase" in tandem with Yuamu, allowing Yuamu to destroy it with the effect of "Blue Tooth Burst Dragon", though Rovian survived by reviving another monster. She called out their motives as underhanded, given Yuhi's desire for promotion and Yuamu's for the Space Treasure, something Yuhi was unaware of and Yuamu told him to disregard, much to his annoyance. To the twins' shock, Rovian was enraged and entered her Patience Limit Mode, summoning "Bandijo of the Battle Ballad" and again manipulating their hands to her advantage, then equipping "Bandijo" with a new Equip Spell Card, "Heavy Arms - Double Nexcalibur", destroying the twins' ace monsters and defeating them. Yuna drained the twins' Duel Power after the Rush Duel and told them not to return, claiming she had joined Rovian because of her passion in defending Rush Dueling. Valvelgear tried to rescue the twins, but Yuna knocked one of its thrusters out by throwing Sukai at it. Before Gainko's sisters could throw the twins out of Badloon Castle, someone told the twins to close their eyes and threw a flashbang at the Bandits, a warning Yuhi didn't heed and was briefly blinded as a result of. The twins and Valvelgear were rescued by two of the Rovian Bandits, revealed to be Manya and Bochi in disguise, gave them some more Duel Power to move around and explained their suspicions had been aroused after Yuamu's call. They suggested they leave on the last train, but Yuhi refused, stating they couldn't leave without Yudias. Yuhi also questioned Yuamu over the Space Treasure, but she continued to dismiss the topic, much to his irritation. As the Rovian Bandits would likely be searching the path they took from the Coruffium, Bochi suggested going through Under-Underground Town, where Yuhi was distracted by the restaurants. Yuamu agreed they couldn't rescue Yudias on an empty stomach, so they broke in a tsukemen restaurant offering the first bowl free, taking advantage of the campaign to get free tsukemen for the Velgearians aboard Valvelgear. The incensed chef revealed himself as Menjaburo Omori, who had disappeared after talking with Yuna and was one of the Rovian Bandits, and he challenged them to a Rush Duel to prevent them returning to Badloon Castle. Yuhi was eager to accept, but Manya Rush Dueled instead due to her prior film role in Hanako the Naruto, and was surprised by Manya's use of FIRE Aqua monsters after her prior WATER Deck, though unamused when Bochi called them Hanako's monsters. Menjaburo by contrast used WATER Pyro monsters, much to Yuhi's confusion, while also noting Menjaburo's use of Equip Spells, deducing all the Rovian Bandits likely used them. After Manya was pushed into a losing position, the twins took advantage of her distracting Menjaburo to sneak off. They successfully infiltrated Badloon Castle and recovered Yudias, reuniting with Manya and Bochi at the train station. The last train had left, but Manya and Bochi had called MIK, who had sent Manabu and Nyandestar to pick them up with a handcar; Yuhi and Bochi operating it to get them out of the Alien Residential Area.
Once Yuhi, Yuamu, Manya, Bochi, Manabu and Nyandestar tried several methods to restore Yudias, but initially only succeeded in hiding his condition from Tazaki and Yagi. After they were aboard tried reinflating Yudias, Bochi struck the trainair compressor Manabu had brought, bursting the balloon and blasting Yudias into the sky, and Yuhi pursued Yudias with the others, tracking him by the cards that fell from him and recalling the memories associated with them, including Yuhi's loss to "Transamu Rainac" and his Duel with Mitsuko Hiramori. Eventually they lost track of Yudias near the Mutsuba Recycling Plant, interrupting Asaka Mutsuba's lecture on the plant to find Yudias being fed into the recycling machine and coming out as a pair of gloves. Distraught over the loss of Yudias wanted , the group returned to eat lunch immediatelyUTS with the gloves and Yudias' cards. Tazaki then arrived with a delivery for Yudias, which Yuhi accepted in his stead, but Yuamu reigned them in and showed them before Tazaki could take the info Kirishima had provided on their quarrygloves, Yudias was restored from the contents of the Yuna GohaKappa Heavenly Cleaningbox, much to Yuhi's joy.<ref name="ep14ep24" >{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! When switching places with Zuwijo zir Velgear during his Rush Duel with Yudias Velgear in the Galaxy Cup through the effect of "Interstellar Change", Yuhi uses Phaser Ryugu's Deck, which had Zuwijo's "Voidvelgr Requiem" and a new Jointech monster: "Jointech Nesstrydar Tank", added in beforehand. However, "Nesstrydar Tank" was revealed to be an anagram of "Darkness Jointech Tyrant" planted by Kuaidul Velgear in Phaser's Deck, allowing him to complete his Project Cartios regardless of the winner.

Season 3
In Season 3, Yuhi uses a Jointech/High Tech Dragon Deck after accidentally mixing his own Deck with Yuamu Ohdo's.
