*'"The inverse of that is to ride a 逆玉の輿". Seriously? Did you mean "derived from"?' This is exactly what I mean. You really don't know anything do you? There's harem, and then there's reverse harem. There's trap and then there's reverse trap. It's a thing in Japanese pop culture, when "reverse" means what usually applies to women can also occasionally apply to men. What's so confusing about the inverse of riding a "reverse gem litter", and what's with that unearnedly smug lecturing tone about how the best word choice should be "derived"? Literally, all you had to do was to look up 逆玉 on jisho.org, and for whatever reason you decided that a wikipedia link to "gold digger" is preferable. I'm not sure about your English proficiency but people who visit this wiki do indeed, speak English and they probably are well-acquainted with "gold digger". It's common sense, and the fact that I have to point this out is ridiculous. I'd rather not be psychoanalyzing here, but I think you really need to reevalute what you're doing with your life, because this is saddening. I suspect you're a young chap who doesn't know better, but common, man, go learn some Japanese or something.2001:EE0:50E5:CE10:D999:ED04:956C:2B4A (talk) 11:15, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
** To be clear, I only know Japanese phonetically and I will not reevaluate my life because someone anonymous told me to. I use the wiki for my past time when needed and I do speak English. If anything, you should be the one who should be angry over the incompetence of the older card trivia pages that say “This monster is featured in the artwork of blah, blah, blah,” or “This card’s effect similar to blah, blah, blah.” I'm the one who has to reorganize that mess because no one else has and the trivia you put out is no one exception. You’re mad because I had to change it due to the fact that you failed to give proper context or quotation for your Japanese translations. Why else do you think I had to have to change the trivia page for "Grace Princess Kana?" And if you're telling someone to reevaluate their life when you clearly show initial disrespect to people who genuinely try to improve the wiki and make their points clear, concise, and not speculative, then that's hypocrisy plain and simple. If I want to learn Japanese, then I’ll use the etymology pages in the YuGiOh Reddit.NumberC17 (talk • contribs) 13:55, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
***"I'm the one who has to reorganize that mess because no one else has and the trivia you put out is no one exception." Kid, enough with this contributor and fixer complex. You're not this wiki's lord and savior. Now I know for a fact that you're just a kid with not a lot going on in their life and thinks they're on a great mission of dispelling misinformation. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt as a good faith one. Take this as a learning opportunity. What you're doing is nothing special. If you're not here, there'll be others who can do a better job than you. I've read your "contributions." They're not great and they show a very surface-level understanding of literally anything. It's apparent to me that you don't understand even the minimal amount of Japanese to make the ridiculous claims about a language that you, admittedly, only "know phonetically" which doesn't mean anything. For example, the two pages I had issues with you, Card Trivia:Grace Princess Kana and Card Trivia:Dian Keto the Boogie Master, show that you uncritically took the bad translations for granted and make made up incorrect claims about what the Japanese names mean. The translations on this wiki can only do so much for Yu-Gi-Oh!, which often features ridiculously untranslatable puns and concepts. What you could've done is to google the original Japanese terms, or use some Japanese dictionary. Or literally nothing. If you don't know anything, don't make anything up, this wiki won't miss out much without your blatant fabrications. I know you mean well, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Just because you want to "clean up other people's messes" doesn't mean you're not making messes of your own.
***"You’re mad because I had to change it due to the fact that you failed to give proper context or quotation for your Japanese translations." I'm mad because I've keep dealing with Dunning-Kruger-effect sufferers, who think they know way more than they actually do. Did you manage to give more context or quotation? Did you cite a better source? Did you rewrite it error-free English? No you did none of that. You were fussy with minor word choices and quotation marks, while adding errors that made the text more confusing to read. This is the behavior of a child who's just takes a few writing classes and thinks he can become the editor-in-chief of a newspaper. And did you give any "proper context or quotation" for your fake trivia? I'm not the hypocrite here, kid. On other wikis, I've had to deal with some loser who hated that I didn't use the exact quotation marks he liked, or break lines the exact way he wanted, or not adding the exact template he preferred, despite none of that being sanctioned by any official style guide. This is the level of useless pedantry that I have very little patience for. When I'm asking you to consider reevaluate your life, I'm just one step away from calling you a loser, but I'm also somewhat empathetic because I used to be one. Don't make my mistake and waste your time on BS is what I'm saying.2001:EE0:50E5:CE10:D999:ED04:956C:2B4A (talk) 15:03, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
