Obelisk's Effect[edit]
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2009 game, you can Tribute 2 monsters to activate Obelisk's effect to destroy all opponent's monsters. The downside is that you cannot attack with it that turn. However, I Tributed a monster and Obelisk to destroy opponent's monsters, then played Monster Reborn to bring it back! I was able to attack with it and dish out 4,000 points of Direct Damage! I think since Obelisk has left the field and came back, the restriction was lifted and you can attack (or use it's effect again to get rid of Fluff Tokens).
Anyway, does this ruling work in the real TCG? Maybe we could add it to the page.Mark Mares (talk • contribs) 06:23, October 31, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, that works. "Obelisk the Tormentor" is now considered to be a different card, so it can attack.
- Unfortunately, we can't add it to the Card Rulings page. The Card Rulings page should only contain rules that come from Konami, and what I said doesn't (it's just derived from similar rulings & cards), so we can't add it.
- Also, the Talk pages are for discussing changes & improvements to the main article. I've left this question here since you're asking about including it on the article page, but in general, you should ask your rulings questions in the rulings forum. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 06:13, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
