any deck can be stopped given the proper circumstances. as previously mentioned, i agree that mirror force could easily stop blue-eyes shining, but mirror force and cards similar to its destructive properties can also destroy many other decent cards. to not use blue eyes shining based on that logic would also imply any good monster that can be destroyed shouldn't be used. if that was the case than almost any monster and/or strategy would be obsolete. so in my opinion it isnt a bad idea to use blue eyes shining, however understand and be prepared to pay the necessary cost to summon him and the risks you run by using him. also one final note, the trap card safe zone may be a wise precaution to protect your blue eyes shining (tdm)

So, I realize a lot of people think that the "[[Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon]]" is very difficult to field. It is not. It's rather easy, since there are a number of ways to add it to hand, and the summoning of "[[Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon]]" is quite simple considering the amount of cards required for it. Cards such as "[[Fusion Sage]]", "[[King of the Swamp]]", "[[Dragon's Mirror]]" and "[[Summoner's Art]]" make things a bit easier, and if you combine that with "[[White Stone of Legend]]" and "[[Dragon Ravine]]" (Discard White Stone of Legend, use the Dragon Ravine's second effect to send another one to the grave, activating both effects, adding 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragons to your hand), it's a 77% chance of getting it out in a duel (Tried and proved, in 13 duels it was out 10 times).
 +

 +
By that point, "[[Gold Sarcophagus]]" is all that is required, or even sheer drawing power from cards such as "[[One Day of Peace]]". "[[Thunder Dragon]]", "[[Thunder Sea Horse]]" and "[[Vylon Prism]]" are also excellent ways of thinning out your deck at this point, since they each search cards, (Thunder Dragon can be discarded from hand for two more Thunder Dragons from deck (allowing for easy fusion for "[[Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon]]"), Thunder Seahorse can be discarded to search Vylon Prism which in turn can be used for Synchro Summons and quickly equipping your Synchro/other monsters.) and for those worried with the lack of consistent theme, there are two depending on your build, the Blue-Eyes one and the fusion one. With that said, it should be fairly obvious that the Blue-Eyes series is still a viable threat in most friendly duels and maybe, if built right, in the early competetive ones as well.

 +
I was also wondering if the "[[Future Fusion]]" method should be taken out of the suggestions for the Blue-Eyes Ultimate summon since it is banned, and if the "[[White Stone of Legend]]"/"[[Dragon Ravine]]" method should be added.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon First Turn Summon and Future Fusion Revision[edit]

So, I realize a lot of people think that the "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" is very difficult to field. It is not. It's rather easy, since there are a number of ways to add it to hand, and the summoning of "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" is quite simple considering the amount of cards required for it. Cards such as "Fusion Sage", "King of the Swamp", "Dragon's Mirror" and "Summoner's Art" make things a bit easier, and if you combine that with "White Stone of Legend" and "Dragon Ravine" (Discard White Stone of Legend, use the Dragon Ravine's second effect to send another one to the grave, activating both effects, adding 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragons to your hand), it's a 77% chance of getting it out in a duel (Tried and proved, in 13 duels it was out 10 times).

By that point, "Gold Sarcophagus" is all that is required, or even sheer drawing power from cards such as "One Day of Peace". "Thunder Dragon", "Thunder Sea Horse" and "Vylon Prism" are also excellent ways of thinning out your deck at this point, since they each search cards, (Thunder Dragon can be discarded from hand for two more Thunder Dragons from deck (allowing for easy fusion for "Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon"), Thunder Seahorse can be discarded to search Vylon Prism which in turn can be used for Synchro Summons and quickly equipping your Synchro/other monsters.) and for those worried with the lack of consistent theme, there are two depending on your build, the Blue-Eyes one and the fusion one. With that said, it should be fairly obvious that the Blue-Eyes series is still a viable threat in most friendly duels and maybe, if built right, in the early competetive ones as well.

I was also wondering if the "Future Fusion" method should be taken out of the suggestions for the Blue-Eyes Ultimate summon since it is banned, and if the "White Stone of Legend"/"Dragon Ravine" method should be added. --109.58.118.9 (talk) 19:56, November 13, 2012 (UTC)
