- "Grinder Golem" first effect is the same as Lava Golem's (but Grinder Golem requires no tributes). Also both are Fiends and include "Golem" in their name.
- In the anime, this card did not include the restriction of preventing you from summoning in the same turn.
- This card and "Triangle Warrior" are both almost "rivals" in their status.
- This card and "Triangle Warrior"'s effects (when special summoned by its "own") are based on "two for one" trade.
- "Grinder Golem": You get two of its tokens and your opponents gets "this one".
- "Triangle Warrior": you get "this one" and Rival gets two of its tokens.
