- "Kogarashi" is a cold, withering wind that occurs in the early season of winter in Japan.
- This is the second high-Level "Blackwing" Tuner, the first being "Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind".
- This card is currently one of the only 3 Level 6 Tuners (along with "Labradorite Dragon" and "Genomix Fighter")
- This is also the first Tuner that your opponent can use as a Synchro Material Monster.
- However, this effect only exists in the anime. The OCG version had this effect removed.
- This card is the second strongest non-Synchro "Blackwing" monster.
