- This card, like "Magical Citadel of Endymion" and "Crusader of Endymion", are named for the Greek mythological figure of Endymion who was beloved by the moon goddess Selene and put to sleep forever.
- This card appears in the artwork of "Spell Power Grasp".
- This card has Spell Counters on the ring around his back, one in the center of his staff, and if you look closely; there are Spell Counters attached to his outfit.
- This card seems to be a watered down version of Dark Magician of Chaos.
- The symbol in the orb of the staff depicted is the same as in "Pitch-Black Power Stone", which is also seen in other cards, such as "Old Vindictive Magician".
