Xyz, not XYZ, as evidenced by this entire page, consider my pet peeved...
* Xyz Monsters can be seen as a conceptual evolution of [[Dark Synchro Monster]]s from ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's]]:''
** This is most evident when comparing the two visually: both Dark Synchro and Xyz Monsters are black cards with a left-aligned row of modified star pips to represent an alternate property to standard Levels: [[Negative Level]]s or Ranks, respectively. Both have also been considered "opposite" to standard Synchro Monsters.
* Both [[Iggy Arlo]] once considered XYZ and the [[Stomptroopers]] in the ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V]]'' anime mistakenly believed Xyz Monsters to have a be Level 0, because they do not have any Levels.
