- Use this card with Skill Drain to prevent this card from returning to the Extra Deck, while not affecting its effect, as it involves tributing itself, which causes its effect to resolve in the Graveyard.
- During your main phase 2 use De-Synchro to get all the Synchro materials for your next turn
- This card works well with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon since when you tribute it you can Special Summon it from your graveyard and when this card return to the Extra Deck then you can Special Summon Salvation Dragon - Savior Dragon from your graveyard, for Synchro Summon Savior Star Dragon later.
- The only easy way of getting a non-Tuner monster with a weak enough level to Synchro Summon this card would have to be using card effects that summon level 1 tokens like Scapegoat, Fires of Doomsday or Dandylion.
- This card could be easier to summon in a "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode", since you need to have "Stardust Dragon" in order to summon its upgraded counterpart anyway.
- Use "Tuningware" as the non-Tuner monster in order to draw a card from your Deck.
- Use this card with "Bait Doll" in order to destroy all of your oppoenent's cards.
