  • This card is named after Chao Gai, the founder of 108 Liangshan heroes.
    • Though not belonging to the 108 Liangshan heroes, Chao Gai was a character from the novel who essentially serves as the spiritual guardian of the outlaws, who make ceremonial sacrifices to him.
      • Chao Gai is nicknamed, "Pagoda-Shifting Heavenly King".
  • This was the 2nd of the 3 Magazine Promo "Fire Fist" monsters to be revealed; the 1st was "Fire Fist Marquis - Hoshin"; and the 3rd was "Fire Fist Master - Choten".
    • Unlike the rest of the "Fire Fist" monsters, these 3 cards are not a member of the 108 Liangshan heroes, however they are still characters in the novel.
  • This card could have an affiliation with the "Flamvell" archetype, since it's a Fire monster and has 200 DEF, like most "Flamvell" monsters.
  • This monster resembles Goldramon from the digimon anime, by the fact that they both have dragons sealed in their hands. Goldramon has two dragons called Amon and Umon (the embodiments of Creation and Destruction) sealed in both his hand.
