A Riding Duel is the type of dueling performed on D-Wheel motorcycles in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. This duel type can be activated without the acceptance of both players. To perform a Riding Duel, at least one or both players has to activate "Speed World". The other player's card will then be automatically activated.

"Speed World" is a unique Field Spell Card, which prevents the activation of any Normal Spell Card. Only one type of Spell Card is still allowed to be activated while "Speed World" is face-up on the field: Cards with "Speed Spell" in their names.

To activate a "Speed Spell", you have to pay using one or more Speed Counters. Here is a list of the cost(s) needed to activate types of "Speed Spell" cards:

During each of your Standby Phases, 1 Speed Counter is placed on "Speed World". Also, there are cards which can either decrease or increase the number of Speed Counters on a "Speed World" either or your opponent controls. There are even cards that can even prevent your "Speed World" from accumulating Speed Counters.
