- You can use cards like "Mask of Darkness" (to return the Trap Cards in your Graveyard to your hand) or "Soul Release" (to remove the Traps from play) if you have any Traps in your Graveyard.
- Since spellcaster decks usually dont use many traps this card can be a good addition to decks of this type.
- This card works well with "Diskblade Rider" if you use a lot of normal traps.
- This card works well in a Banished deck.
- This card can work well in Lightsworn decks since they have very few traps in it.
- This card can work well in a deck that runs multiple "Scrap-Iron Scarecrows" as it is not sent to the graveyard after activation, instead it is Set face down again.
- Another card that proves useful would be Skill Successor. It provides your monsters with an attack boost twice, as well as Banish itself from the graveyard for Treacherous. Also works better with decks that focus more on milling.
- Use "Soul Release" to get rid of any traps since you probably can't get them back, then use the remaining to remove the opponents cards from play.
- This card can be used in a very monster-heavy Deck like Frognarchs or any Monster-Mash based one. Since you're running lots of monsters and very few Spells (if any), you rarely have space for any Traps.
- "Treacherous" can be more versatile than "Mirror Force" or "Torrential Tribute". It is chainable to almost anything, making it more versatile if you're lacking space for Trap cards. Using a single one also ensures it will be a live card anytime you draw it, making it even better.
- You can use "Starlight Road" with this card to easily summon "Stardust Dragon", but take care, as it cannot be special summoned again.
