- Use this card in Decks that are Monster Card and/or Spell Card-heavy, as well as light on Trap Cards (if any).
- One copy of this card on a Ninja deck might be useful due to also having the option of discarding it to activate the effect of Upstart Golden Ninja.
- In preparation to activate this card, use cards like "Diskblade Rider", "Recycle" and "Soul Release" to remove Trap Cards from your Graveyard.
- It is best to use this card as the only Trap Card in your Deck, or in a Deck that focuses on banishing cards, so that it will never be a dead draw.
- However, you can also use Trap Cards like "Skill Successor" and "Breakthrough Skill", since you can banish them from the Graveyard.
- Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" can also be used in the same Deck as this card, assuming your opponent doesn't destroy it and send it to the Graveyard.
- Combo with "Starlight Road", assuming you target your own monsters.
