- Use this card to damage yourself, if you need lower life points than your opponent.
- Set multiple copies of this in preparation for cards like "Black Rose Dragon" and "Heavy Storm" to use as 'revenge' weapons to get back at your opponent.
- This card works well against "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE". You can Set it on the field and it will be destroyed, but your opponent will still take more damage than you.
- Use this card as a finisher at Burn Decks. Try lowering your opponent's LPs up to 1000, then if they try to destroy your Spells/Traps, make sure this card is Set, thus blowing up your opponent easily. The combo "Lava Golem" and "Messenger of Peace" is a great choice.
- Combine this card with "Battle Mania" and "Magical Hats" while your opponent controls at least 3 monsters to do 2000 damage to them.
- Not so much a game mechanic, but if you could bluff your opponent into thinking that you've set a powerful Trap Card, causing them to have a need to remove it or prevent them from attacking until it has been removed.
- Get a trap card like "Mirror Force", "Dimensional Prison", "Solemn Judgment", "Solemn Warning", or "Magic Cylinder" back to your hand with the effect of "Mask of Darkness". After carefully shuffling your hand, set Kazokay's Self Destruct Button. If your opponent thinks you set the card that you got back, they may play it slow, or try to immediately destroy it. Either way its a good scare tactic card, as well as a good revenge weapon.
- A nice combo you can do with this card is to Set it, then activate "Double Cyclone". You destroy this card and an opponent's card, but then activate "Barrel Behind the Door" to inflict the 1000 damage to your opponent.
